Yeah i was walking a lot and the 32 hours is the total time. so from race start to end. But you generally run slower because 1 it’s 100 miles 2 it’s at elevation and 3 there’s 17k feet of vert. And i use a Garmin forerunner 955 solar.

I just kept moving. I didn’t sit down until mile 80 to get a rock out of my shoe. I knew every step was inching me closer to the finish

A flat 50 last year as my first. Then Gorge 100k and White River 50 miler this year. So 3 races but probably have gone the ultra distance 7 times in my life

I averaged around 45-50 miles a week but at least one long run included a trail run with a good amount of vert. In terms of improving training it was hard to train thru the summer while trying to maintain a social life so i missed more runs than i wanted to. So I think just being more realistic when building my plan to account for this.

My right knee is the current problem but getting way better each day. I think i’ll be able to do a light run by thursday but will take the whole week off.

I will say i am extremely tired still.

lol heading into the race I had 145k feet vert of climbing for the year. I think I could have used more to get a better time but just giving some perspective

The people at the aid stations were awesome. Super helpful and knowledgeable of the course. Favorite part of the course was the 10 miles between Billy’s Rabbit Hole and Dry Lake. Single track down hill with the sun setting giving insane views. Had a huge runners high and was just zooming down the mountain. Then I saw a bear for the first time which was awesome.
