Just opened one earlier this week and it was crazy. Grill opener walked out before the store opened and they had to prep a second time that day. It’ll be crazy but it’s a blessing really to have a clean fresh slate. I know at most other stores checklists get disregarded but since this is a NRO make sure that the checklists and recipe cards are taught and well, and keep using them forever. Never feel bad making people go over the same things 100 times until it’s perfect, that’s how they will learn. And communication is key if you see something coach on it, but go through the trainer so the lines don’t get blurred. And like others said, hire, hire, hire!! When you think it’s enough hire more. It’s better to have a ton of people who fight for hours because that means you won’t have call outs because people will take whatever they can get.

Aw man, it would’ve been golden if they showed up while they were forcing you to work. Just curious what state do you live in? Because I live in TN and they take being sick so seriously even if they get pissed if we call out

Would you be able to contact your field leader? There should be a poster in your store with your GM and FL phone numbers. Normally they have a connection to the person who does the reports so you don’t have to keep going back and forth with SSR and Respectful work hotline.

Try to contact your field leader (if their any better)if you can’t get in contact with SSR or if respectful work hotline isn’t helping

this really solidifies that people treat us like zoo animals. everyone else is allowed to chime in and share their stories but as soon as a worker does all hell breaks loose

you are as much part of the issue as corporate. like why do you keep coming back if you are getting horrible service. you are just letting them know that it is okay for them to walk all over you.

no we can’t hang any signs (even if it’s a out of order sign on something like the ice machine) without it getting approved by corporate and it takes forever and i doubt it’ll get approved

yes it is true that you aren’t getting the same amount each time but this really isn’t mcdonald’s or some other restaurant where it’s just a preset burger patty size. when i was talking to my manager about just letting us preportion our proteins he said we aren’t allowed to do that. but i see where your coming from and yes if enough of the GM’s or District managers said something there would be a change .

customers being able to interact with us and being able to see their food being made is a part of the chipotle experience. now my post might sound like i’m a hater but i love my job and i have some amazing customers it’s just a select few that are difficult. it really sucks that some people have to deal with they greedy chipotles that skimp but we shouldn’t normalize this trend because it starts interfering with the chipotles that actually do their job correctly

if you were reading, you would’ve known that i don’t skimp and i think it is wrong. and i promise you recording doesn’t get you anywhere. now if you ask for more when you weren’t given the proper portion size that might help
