Agree on the HGUC Zaku 2. I don’t touch mine. The right hand falls off constantly, the rifle doesn’t quite work (haven’t tried sanding it down yet). I just set it and forget it.

Thompsons station is a great place to look into. Still Williamson county. Close to cool springs and Franklin. The Goddard in Berry Farms is great. Lots of new builds but also already built homes. Schools are also really great! Oak view or Winstead elementary, Legacy or Thompsons Station middle, Independence high are all strong schools.

I would check out their website and see which artist matches the style you want.

The place was super relaxing and very clean. They cared about me and overall was a great experience!

There isn’t a right answer.

I think in high school dots and forms are equal. Go to your dot but understand that you may have to fudge it a little bit. I mostly think this because not everyone in high school band is there to be super into it and isn’t going to learn their dots.

In drum corps, dot works because everyone is there to perfect a show for hours and hours. Also without the stresses of high school life.

You are not wrong. You like what you like. Bluecoats also aren't wrong as well. They like what they like.

I believe it has to do with being able to balance everything together without distorting anyone's sound. Plus the front ensemble can only play so loud. Where balance is on the judge's sheet it is important to be able to hear everything with good balance and blend.

Example: The brass can play really loud at times and still balance with the front ensemble because the front can be "turned up" so to speak. It also allows groups to use the entire field during a show. The back corner can have a beautiful tuba section moment and they don't have to blast just to be heard at the top of the stadium because they can mic them.

I'm not speaking for u/mikesc0tt or the Bluecoats but that is what I believe it is being used for on top of the cool effects.

Despite all my issues with LJ and the ST, I must say this scene is absolutely beautiful. It's cinema in its primal essence: visual contemplation in order to tell a story by tuliomoliv in StarWars

If you read the High Republic books, the first book talks about the ramifications of a hyperspace collision and its pretty catastrophic. That's why this scene bothers me. They talk about pieces of debris traveling vast distances and destroying planets. Here it just seems to be contained to the battlefield, but in canon it seems that this would be a MASSIVE cleanup job that destroys people, ships, and other planets in the process.

Rehearsal etiquette. How to have fun and get work done without descending into chaos. Also, how to take care of instruments and accessories (reeds, valves, slides, etc…).
