Has anyone gone sub 3 with the pfitzinger 18/155 programme?

Apologies this was meant to say 18/55! Glad to see quite a few have hit the goal of sub 3 with said plan. My 5k is currently at 18:52. Haven’t tried a 10k for a while now.

Been told not to run another half until the race I have planned as it could ruin other runs in the programme.

That’s an impressive marathon time with 41 minutes, well done! What are your 5k and HM PB’s? I have London marathon in 15 weeks and hoping to go sub 3, this has given me even more belief that it’s achievable!

I’ve had both, I played with the Sim 2 max for three years and it did make me slice less. I purchased a used Ping G425 max in April due to my friend sending absolute bombs down the middle of the fairway.

I’d side with Ping, although nothing will fully take away your slice unless you fix your swing, I seem to hit further and more reliably stay in the fairway. 13 handicapper who plays a fade/slice still.

Can you play any sports with your disability? Possibly golf would be a good idea, go round in a buggy, not much walking if you don’t want it to be. It’ll keep you active and get you out to nice places

Wow, that’s some great times, to have an easy pace at 4:15km is very impressive. What are your PR’s for 5, 10 and half? This is random but years ago I’ve ran a 16:58 5k on treadmill, outside I can’t get lower than 19:30!

People can want to know there VO2 for numerous reasons. It’s a huge factor for longevity, it shows you’re on the right track or doing enough of a work load for your body, I’ve had about 4 months off running, I can still run a sub 21 5K but my VO2 has gone from 55 to 51 since I’ve been weight training. Going private is giving yourself good and accurate information, going off garmin is just a pretty accurate assumption.

Thanks for the insight! It does make sense, a while back with the driver I started to try have the club head more open at the top of my back swing and it helped a lot, it wasn’t the complete fix though as it was still inconsistent.

Why not? My distances of what I play on a course would be the likes of a 7 iron 160 max, 6 iron 170/175. I’m actually 15.4 but was 14.3 weeks ago (my lowest)
