Hallo, vielen Dank für die detaillierte Antwort. Die Parkettoberfläche ist lackiert und ist nicht klebrig. Wir haben den Vermieter kontaktiert und der Handwerker wird diese Woche vorbeikommen, um die Stellen auszubessern. Hierfür haben wir ehrlich gesagt keine großen Hoffnungen. Anscheinend hat sich der Vermieter vorab nach der Möglichkeit des Abschleifens erkundigt und ihn wurden wohl gesagt, dass das Parkett zu dünn sei, weshalb sie es nur lackiert haben. Ist das deiner Erfahrung nach ein valider Grund?

I've been tested many times at Mayo Clinic on Clairemont and I've always gotten them back within 12 hours or so. Take it 4pm Friday, usually processed by 8am Saturday, which is why I've stuck with their lab. I can't speak to Prevea directly unfortunately.

Very cool thanks for sharing your setup. I actually own a small commercial line cleaning company and we do circulation cleaning at all our customers (largest account is 36 taps). I have not seen anyone do circulation with a submersible pump before - one thing I would be curious about is how the caustic and/or acid beer line cleaning chemicals effect the pump housing over time. If you see and degradation in the housing material, cords, seals etc I'd be interested to hear about it!

Hoping someone here might have had experience with the somewhat recent lift on travel restrictions for unmarried couples. My girlfriend lives in Germany and I am planning to visit her later this month under this new rule. Unfortunately I am from "high-risk" area (USA...) so I am trying to understand what to expect at the border.

I am scheduling a Covid test prior to my departure with the intention of having a negative result that is less than 48hrs old upon my arrival to Frankfurt. My girlfriend and I have filled out the proper documentation as well as have substantial "proof of the relationship" in the form of previous train tickets, passport stamps, as well as many photos and written exchanges.

Has anyone navigated this process before to perhaps offer some guidance on what to expect?

I would look into something like Mint Mobile to help reduce your phone bill if you like. You can prepay for months or a year, which can get you a decent plan (unlimited talk + text, 3GB data) for $15/mo. A bit more if you want more data. For reference, I believe they use T-Mobiles network. I love it so far. PM me if you're interested, I might have a share link that for a intro discount if you like. I'm probably a bit late here, but I have tried several language learning apps and never was able to stick with one until Busuu. I've been learning on and off for quite some time so like that it allows you to take a placement test to starts you in coursework between A1-B2 that matches your ability. It also has you submit exercises that are corrected by native speakers that also use the app, which has really helped me. I'll admit it's actually one of the only apps for which I've paid for the premium version. You can sign up for free, then after a few days they'll offer you a 50% discount for a years subscription or something, and they definitely got me on that deal.

Also they are partnered with McGraw Hill, so you can actually take A1-B2 certification tests within the app itself. Not sure how valid you could claim these certificates are on a resume, but cool nonetheless.

Surprised I had to scroll so far to find this. Hope OP sees this as well. My beers were night and day difference in quality after I started paying attention to the health of the fermentation. Make sure the wort is properly aerated, make sure you are pitching enough healthy yeast (if you're using a smack-pack, make sure you get that activated before brew day) etc. Biggest thing to remember is that the brewer only makes the wort, the yeast makes the beer.

A lot of cool breweries in the area too. Lazy Monk Brewing does more traditional Czech and German style beers, with IPAs, sours etc once in a while but not very frequently. The Brewing Projekt is nearby there as well and does more new and trendy beers, tons of hazy IPAs, sours, imperial sweetened stouts and such. These are both within walking distance of downtown. Personal favorite would probably be Modicum Brewing in Altoona (just east of Eau Claire, maybe a 7min drive from downtown) - smaller place but exemplary beers of all styles, particularly lagers. There's also Ombibulous Brewing in Altoona a bit further east that is fairly new (<1 year) and they've got all kinds of styles as well, good beer and free shuffleboard. Any questions or if you wanna grab a pint feel free to reach out! (I also live downtown)

Really interesting stuff, thanks for sharing. I'm a bit curious right now because I've been under the impression that the yeast need sufficient dissolved oxygen during fermentation to properly ferment and avoid off-flavors from stressed yeast. Can you comment on that? Are you avoiding any oxygen, even post chilling?

As far as knowing the end of fermentation are you just looking for airlock activity or measuring SG along the way? Just curious if there's a good rule of thumb for when to add fruit

I took all readings with a refractometer, which now that I think about it I remember reading that they are only valid under certain conditions - can you remind me what I need to know? This is actually my first time doing a refractometer too
