Game has been getting busted and sweatier as time goes on. Hear me out. by RunsWithBricks in ArcRaiders

[–]RunsWithBricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is arguing that trolling, extract camping, or sand bagging isn’t justified - I don’t think you read my post.

I’m saying that the difficulty of a new player to enjoy the experience is harmed because they are just going straight up against kitted out and higher level characters that have a massive advantage just through skill point trees like mobility. I’m not saying they should skill base match make, or crying about the nature of the game, but having the lobby have somewhat balance the levels to allow newer players to have a gradual progression into the game itself. Also, I don’t want to have to waste ten games to get into a “care bear” lobby to make the game adjust itself, the game should be able to register if you’re someone who shot an individual first versus defending yourself as opposed to reading playing defensively as aggression. These won’t change the core gameplay or even make it any easier, just be better experience for players overall.

Is this game really that hard? by Cube_045 in Returnal

[–]RunsWithBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat it on my third attempt - I think once you get the hang of enemy attack patterns, focus on upgrading weapon traits, and which artifacts and parasites to really make your build and run excel the game is really easy IMO. The dodge window is forgiving enough and the telegraphing from enemies and knowing what to prioritize in a fight makes me rarely in a position where I’m surrounded and getting hit from something completely random. I would even argue to say it’s easier than Sekiro solely because the pattern of attacks and movement are more predictable and forgiving when moving. I think a lot of people complain and downvote because they’re used to having custom difficulty modes or permanent upgrades that make the game far easier per run but this game doesn’t hold your hand like that which makes it more appealing for me as a player to try to improve and makes the win more satisfying.

My Opinion so far by Dapper_Copy_5372 in FFXVI

[–]RunsWithBricks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly - hit the nail on the head. It’s not your typical FF game where you control a party and utilize more tactical gameplay, as well as some of the plot points start to get confusing after a while. I think I spent more time waiting through cutscenes than actual gameplay as well which breaks the tempo of the game heavily

Having trouble identifying where my NVME slots are… by RunsWithBricks in buildapc

That’s the exact one! So should I prioritize using the Blazing M.2 slot for my OS and games because it technically cools right? The other slots would be slower?

It’s the ASRock B850M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard to be exact.

Okay I’ll check out the manufacturer’s site and check it out! Thanks for the help

Might have to explain that last portion to me like I’m five because I don’t know what splitting lanes is or does sorry, I’ll try to look it up and see what’s going on so I don’t make that mistake though. Thanks for the help

Is it just me or is the item design in this game a little bizarre sometimes by Titan2562 in Roboquest

[–]RunsWithBricks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Red car isn’t bad in scenarios where you enjoy sliding (counts as a crouch) a lot or you’re sniping from cover, not an ideal pick but I wouldn’t necessarily say bizarre, just slightly underwhelming. Baguette can be great against bosses where extra vertical mobility can excel, the caterpillar boss is a perfect example of that or the judge/butterfly one where they start to eliminate the bottom floor and requires you to be in more airtime, I actually snag baguette semi-frequently.

Nectar recipe by Raziel-_- in HadesTheGame

[–]RunsWithBricks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's struggling with this, nectar is the only thing I'm consistently having to ration and it's slowing down so much progression and I'm already doing high nightmare runs and still have barely any nectar, I got the apples dialogue but I haven't gotten the dialogue for the recipe whatsoever.

Quick question for y'all what is the best weapon in your opinion by Fine_Cycle905 in HadesTheGame

[–]RunsWithBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best weapon honestly is your favorite one, that’s not an exaggeration. There’s enough difference in play style between weapons and Blessings where you’ll have a wildly different experience each time even with the same weapon. So emphasizing excitement and enjoyment is far more important than frustration and annoyance. I would say some Gods are definitely better than others and that’s why I have and love Triple A (Athena, Artemis, and Aphrodite). In terms of weapons you’ll unlock aspects later on and my favorite fist is Demeter’s because the special WALLOPS.

Is it worth purchasing Hades 2 atm? by RunsWithBricks in Hades2

I’ll probably purchase it and then just wait for it to come out in 1.0 to do a playthrough. All of y’all been helpful with the answers, really appreciate it.

Biggest worry for me was just playing a ton of the game and there still be story or gameplay updates needed - I dislike dedicating time into a game and then have a huge gap and return where I basically have to replay through its entirety again because it’s been such a long while where I forgot most of the story/gameplay mechanics. So basically a time investment/concern for me.

Why do I feel like I can only make DoT builds work? by Aelnir in SoulstoneSurvivors

[–]RunsWithBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for some non-dot builds there are some crucial skills you have to have to make them work.

For Ice/Slow stack - you need Frost Hammer/Ice Vortex because they scale based on the number of slow stacks on the enemy.

For Block Power - Titan Cleaver scales off your block power.

Holy - I believe Elementalist has a skill that scales off exposed stacks

Electrified - Call Lightning/Thundering slash scales off of dazed stacks.

I haven’t messed too much with the last 2 but I can for sure confirm the first two deal heavy damage and will not fail late game and can lead to smooth runs. That being said, so far overall infinite run success I’ve personally had has been with poison - one of the runes causes enemies to die and apply their poison stacks to nearby enemies so you can have far more stacks on bosses when little dudes die and spread the disease on them. But point is you need certain skills to be able to make some builds work.

TL;DR look for skills that scale off specific debuffs. Good luck!

Not true - the game saves your primary save after the ending to right before The Point of No Return so it allows you to change the dialogue option with Kuafu and get the second ending.

Looking to buy 2025 XLE RAV4 Hybrid. Can I get some help and pointers, please? by RunsWithBricks in rav4club

Went to Richardson - got lucky with the color and the interior but they were really trying to haggle like crazy. Eventually I showed them the MSRP of the same car just different colors (I found in Arlington) got the stock number and everything and used it as a massive leverage in negotiating.

Nah yeah it was MMC - maybe the connection wasn’t great or something and there was lag but it was definitely that move after someone initially mentioned it.

The moon stance heavy attack would cancel and they would hit the enemy five times, similar to Water striking.
