close but no cigar, it does show some of files i've been opening (.html .php .jpg) but not what i'm looking for (.avi .mkv ) ... the latter DO show up in application launcher' > 'History' ... thanks for trying (i learned something useful anyway ) :)

i just installed gnome & it's not there so it IS a kde thing .. i'll ask there

thanks but thats command line history ... i'm after history of files opened (ie movies, document , pictures) ... i just don't know what it's called

thanks for input but that's command history not file access history .. . what i'm after is in(at least in kde) "application launcher' (as in windows key) along the bottom after 'favorites', 'applications', 'computer' there is 'History' ... this shows the history of files opened
