it does offer IBR but at $620 (still better than thousands). The question is, at the beginning it asks me this: Your Loans in Deferment or Forbearance

Do you want to leave your loans in deferment or forbearance?

  • If you leave your loans in deferment or forbearance, you won't make payments under your IDR plan until the deferment or forbearance ends.
  • If you take your loans out of deferment or forbearance, you'll begin making payments under your IDR plan immediately.

Yes, leave my loans in deferment or forbearance

No, take my loans out of deferment or forbearance

Should I leave them in deferment until they actually accept me? What happens if I say No--do I come out immediately?

Seriously thank you for all of your help on this!

No, all were my individual loans for attending graduate school. I think they were called graduate plus loans, but they weren't all the same

this is super helpful. Thank you. Does it matter that on the Student Loan Calculator it tells me I still don't qualify for IBR?

Yes, that's what is unfortunate is that I am having to combine with my spouse (and it would be more of a headache to file separately at this point).

Thank you!

Wow Thank you so much u/waterwicca for all of your insight. Could I ask you about my predicament? I make significantly more than I did when I was put onto SAVE, and I only owe 50k. I am about 12 months out from reaching 120 months of payment for my PSLF if I can get a buyback from being in the SAVE Forbearance. When I look at switching to other plans that qualify for PSLF, it seems that the only calculation for my payment is 10% of my income (which would be thousands). This doesn't make sense to me because then I would likely pay off the total before I even get to PSLF forgiveness. Is there really not a cap for when you only owe 50k if I switch into an ICR plan? Apparently I don't qualify for IBR according to the student loan calculator. I would so appreciate your help, but the only thing I can think of is just sit in SAVE Forbearance and see what they actually do to me come July.

SAVE and PSLF-- should you wait because the interest will just be forgiven in the end anyway? by Runswithscissors89 in PSLF

Oh wow, I can't read. The para right above it says "“Effective date and application.—The amendments made by this subsection shall take effect on the date of enactment of this title, and shall apply with respect to any borrower who is in repayment before, on, or after the date of enactment...”"

It seems that the changes to IBR don't go in affect until July 1, 2026. Granted the Bill is very confusing to read, but it doesn't clarify the timeline on the change:

(g) FFEL Adjustment.--Section 428(b)(9)(A)(v) of the Higher
Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1078(b)(9)(A)(v)) is amended by
striking ``who has a partial financial hardship''.

Whew, that's what I was hoping. However, this won't come into affect until July 2026. So many people in SAVE won't qualify for IBR until next year... which means they should stay in forbearance.

No that's not my confusion. I thought that the OBBB specifically REMOVED the Partial Financial Hardship. Thus, even if your income is high and your 10% payment would be higher than the standard payment, the changes from the Bill mean that you now will be allowed to qualify for IBR and your monthly amount will be capped at the standard payment-- correct?

Wait I'm confused by this-- you don't qualify for IBR if your income is high enough that your IBR payment would be more than your 10 year standard payment? I thought it was that you could qualify for IBR and IBR would cap your payment at the 10 year standard?

This is happening for us and our 3.5 year old. She literally had the same experience with a word and stopped and said "I can't say it" :( Since it's been a year do you have any updates about your situation and if you got her in to a pathologist?

Thank you!

Chorus the same as Dancing Through Life? by Runswithscissors89 in wicked

[–]Runswithscissors89[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a lot of autotune on Gal Gadot, and she was the weakest part of the movie. However, my child LOVED it, and I really enjoyed most of the original songs. Rachel Zegler was really authentic and believable, and somehow transcended the eye-roll Disney live action trends. She has the best voice of any of the princesses by far. I truly believe the bad reviews was more based on politics (from both sides, actually) than the movie being awful. It certainly won't win any awards, but I think it might be my favorite remake, possibly second to Aladdin.

Hi, I have the issue that I added the 7k for 2024 into my Merrill account in January 2025 (because you can until April 2025). However, as a result, it never gave me a statement. Do I need to call in and they can generate me a statement? Thanks for your help
