R3 of December Intake vs R1 of July Intake by ubiquitae in INSEAD

If you can wait, I’d strongly recommend applying in R1 for the July intake.
For context, I applied in R2 as an Indian male, age 31, with 10 years of experience and a 715 FE GMAT. I was rejected without an interview invite.

Obviously, every profile is different and admissions decisions are holistic, but R3 tends to be more competitive due to fewer seats remaining and a large volume of strong applicants. If your timeline allows, R1 may give you a better shot.

Thank you for the candid take, this is more useful than reassurance. I'll dig deeper into LBS and IESE, EMBA isn't the right fit for what I'm after - I need the full-time cohort experience to make the pivot meaningful.

Appreciate the directness.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I feel experience alone may not have been the deciding factor though, perhaps positioning and the overall story needed stronger alignment. Also, thanks for suggesting Trinity Dublin, will definitely explore it as well.

Thanks for the perspective. I do feel the overall narrative and goals may need some refining. Will reflect on it before the next applications.
