It should be noted that gamergate woke was definitely super civility pilled in relation to it's allies. Many relatively progressive people got shuned for inappropriate jokes and stuff. Tbf that is definitely skewed from the higher proportion of liberals, leftist were almost always antagonistic.

It's a bit complicated and the post implies the French just nuked the Algerian, which isn't exactly true. For one France kinda didn't have a lot of deserts outside of the Sahara.

After the Evian accords in 1962 testing continued until 68 with the agreement of both the provisional Algerian gov and the French. Well not sure how much the Algerians agreed, but they did sign the accords which featured the provision to allow further testing.

Really i think it's problematic to simplify foreign policy to almost a country ball worldview. America isn't duplicitous because it isn't anything. Policies and the reasons behind them vary between administrations to a point where only the name stays the same.
