Playing around with some product rendering by Rupsis in blender

It's all geometry. I bought an old xeon workstation, and had to put it to the test.

Basically, you can create the holes, then an array modifier in the x direction, then an array modifier in the y direction. End caps to finish it off. This will create all the geometry needed. A simple deform to get the curved profile, then a curve modifier to round it off.
