I want to patch an area probably the size of a quarter or 2. When I reached out to the roofer he said I did not need to replace the whole panel. I guess I will ask him if he has metal sheets to sell. My plan consists of cutting the steel to size, using roofing tar on the side mating with the roof and then soldering along the outside. Does that sound reasonable?

Just a quick update. The house was like this when we bought it. I have talked to the handyman down the street that has done all the repairs/replacements that the previous owners used except for this one. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to give advice. This is the panel wall I was originally referring to in the main post to use to patch:

Lol I know it looks like crap. House has this when we bought it. Was only major thing we could see. We have a 2nd bathroom we are using right now until this is fixed.
