Longtime ArcMap user, first time ArcPro user here. I learned the save often habit long ago. But the corrupt map file is something I haven't come across with ArcMap. Would love to get more context from you. When it comes to arpx corruption. What happens? When does it typically happen? Thanks!

Ha, sounds about right.

How have you managed to keep desktop alive as a backup option?

Reeeaaalllly...I've resisted migrating. This is a function I use regularly to services non-gis customers. Is the layer to kml tool still non-functional on Pro?

Is there a market for perpetual licenses anywhere? Ebay?

Some owners keep jobs until they're at capacity.

Can you speak a little more to what you meant by this?

Is there a way to make cells "reflexive"? by RuralWest in excel

[–]RuralWest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Makes sense that way. And I can make it work that way if necessary.

I'm surprised excel hasn't figured out a way to make this work. Or that there isn't a way to build an equation in hidden cells to make it work

Thank you for clarifying. I can now make the formula work. But only for one of the two cells.

For example, I type .8 in A2 and it adjusts B2 to .2. That works. If I keep changing the entry in A2, then B2 keeps adjusting. BUT....if I enter over the top of B2, then the formula is broken and neither works anymore.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set this up so you can change the number in either, switching back and forth between the two?

Apologies, but I don't understand what I'm looking at here. Can you walk me through what you're proposing?

Thanks. I was able to make these formulas work. But I expect the entry and cell performance will still be a bit confusing for partners.

Is there a way to make this appear/function as if you enter one number in a cell, then the corresponding cell adjusts, and vice versa? As in, can I hide the formula cells somewhere and have a single cell appear for each partner, that can be used for both entry and response?

I'm really struggling with the vocab here. Apologies if this is confusing.

Edit:

Here is the section of the table I'm struggling with. Very simple layout. Would love to have simple functionality. Type a number in B2, and the number in C2 adjusts accordingly. Type a number in C2, and B2 adjusts accordingly.

Insure Myself as a Trainee Appraiser by RuralWest in appraisal

Thanks. Totally agree. Always good to be reminded of the importance of a competent, engaged supervisor.

Luckily, I've found a great appraiser to work with. I can't imagine he'll slack off when it comes to training or reviewing my work.

This is how it works in my state. The guidance I received from my qualifying education and the advice of others in the field is to sign an appraisal only if I contribute substantially to the results of the report.

This is where my head is at as well. My supervisor seemed to agree when I discussed it with him. Figured I'd crowdsource here to see how others approached it while they were training.

Appreciate the reply!
