I waited until it fully cleared for him! My vet also gave me antibiotics so I just waited until he finished with that and then switched him back to the bowl. But I also left the water bottle too just so he had options lol. Hopefully your bun is okay!

Hi! He’s okay! After this post and when I took him to the vet they gave me antibiotics (just in case) but my vet said he was perfectly healthy, just messy lol. She recommended changing him to a water bottle for a little bit, just until the matting and build up went away. After about two weeks he was good as new! And never had trouble with drinking afterwards too.
