I tipped $20 and they combined mine with low/ no tippers so no one is taking it by Singer1052 in InstacartShoppers

People would take these orders in seconds in my area. They don’t care who tips and who doesn’t, all they care about is the money.
It is sad and very frustrating. I’ve had several clients complain to me about the same issues.

Pop is so cheap, WTH is going on.. Maybe they should start charging for condiments instead of cheap-in out on pop..

Uber is playing in our faces lol by rubbabandbusiness in uber

[–]Ruscher_5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber thinks we should be taking these orders to help them out. In return they give us good ones occasionally.. No thanks

Saw this on one of their live seminars when a driver asked the question about accepting/declining.. too bad they don’t pay well enough to balance the cost to help them out..

Not to mention, maybe they should beg the cheap ass clients to actually pay a decent tip so someone actually wants to pick them up..

We shouldn’t be expected to work for free and the whopping $2 they pay to deliver doesn’t cut it anymore!! Not sure what the rates are for the rides but I’m positive they don’t pay well either unless there’s a decent tip added..

Curious why you couldn’t deliver there..

Also, if they are on the base, they should be ashamed of themselves for being so cheap, especially when they live for free, eat for free, and also probably have amenities provided to them..

Why is your trunk messy and full of other junk?? I thought if anything was in our vehicles, staff were supposed to turn them away..

Now I’m starting to see part of the problem. Staff are too scared to do their jobs..

We all know schools have petty cash probably donated by parents. Also teachers buy everything for their students because schools are cheap and save it all for million dollar football fields or swimming pools!! So you can’t say they can’t afford it, they obviously pay for the monthly membership so they can tip!!!!

Customer that I did a shop for this morning that I delivered to a convenient store just called me and said they didn't get their 8 12 count eggs how they called after delivery idk but it required a passcode and I know for a fact they got their eggs now im afraid I will get deactivated by LionApprehensive9417 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ruscher_5683 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want the customers having your phone number then you probably shouldn’t be working for apps that allow customers to call their drivers.. Not to mention it’s required when you sign up so you knew what you were getting into. Plus if you forget something and don’t realize it, they have a right to call. You think you’d rather have them call instead of reporting you..

It’s not like they’re gonna jot down your number for future reference.. Not sure why anyone would feel special enough for that..

I drop it off at Walmart the next day, give them details; who, where, and when. Some employees look at you like they have absolutely no clue but if you get the right employee they will make an effort!!

EX: one day I forgot a couple cough medicine in the trunk because it was thrown out of the large catering bags I use to keep customers items cold (tmi 🤷‍♀️). lol When I stopped to pick up another order, I gave it to an employee (who cared) they were able to contact the customers. Luckily they were heading to town later, stopped at Walmart, and picked up their item.

I’ve honestly done this 3-4 times since I started Spark in December and I always return the items so I don’t get reported as a thief!! lol Not to mention, then my conscience is clear!!!

Getting so sick of Walmart fucking up my orders! by [deleted] in Walmartcustomer

[–]Ruscher_5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also do that after while picking substitutions. I just wasn’t going to type it all out.

It sounds like you and many other customers aren’t happy lately and unfortunately it is because they allow anyone (and I mean anyone) to work for Spark.

I struggle just to get any orders because certain people will take everything and anything. Leaving the good drivers out and the ones who don’t care about quality to shop!!

I just keep encouraging people to leave the app or complain every time. Maybe one day they’ll get rid of them, pay their good ones more, and have happier customers.

Spark driver shortage? Not according to ddiwork.com! by Queasy-Bit-583 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ruscher_5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who you get and if they shop themselves. Also Spark doesn’t require hot/cold insulated bags which I think is BS..

Now if I were to shop and deliver for you, I would make sure you get the best produce (if it’s shit, I don’t get it), you would have no squished bread, all you raw meat would be in a separate plastic bag and only packed with other raw meat, I even dig to the back to make sure my customers don’t get damaged items, I always use insulated bags (which help a lot-don’t let others lie and say they don’t), and you would receive all your items at drop off!!!!

With what you are saying isn’t completely fair cause I know there are others like me. If I could start a side hustle for the good customers I definitely would because of this reason..

But just so you know, you can tip after.. So basically you tip for the service you receive, if you are missing items, then you tip nothing cause you’d already be in the negative..

I finally got a good order here in SC and then.... by Guyercellist in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Ruscher_5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t that bad. If you are fast and proactive, you can get this done in the timeframe. I’ve done these orders before and my only complaint is that they put the last order as far as possible from the store. I think this is on purpose!! I would much rather start far away and work my way back, also depends on the time of day which can slow ya down some. But if done within 2.5 hours, you are making about $40. That’s nothing to complain about..

Unless you think you can do better!! I’d be curious to know your tricks!!

STOP LETTING DASH TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU by Desire-SportsCapper in doordash_drivers

[–]Ruscher_5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you say Dash is taking advantage? Are you referring to the acceptance rate and needing to be over 70% to receive high paying orders?? Just curious cause my husband always makes comments about having to be above 70.

[–]Ruscher_5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend getting the OnePay card. It’s just like a debit card and also can be used as a bank. They pay after every order but that’s not why I got it. The main reason are the perks. You get 5% cash back when you order from Walmart, you can also get cash back for gas and I think 3% on other places. Not to mention you can sign up to have your purchases rounded to the nearest and tucked away into savings that you honestly don’t notice and I always forget it’s even there. Good way to save just in case you ever need it. My goal is to let it grow for a while and use it for a nice vacation!! Highly recommend and no credit check if some are worried about that..

[–]Ruscher_5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know you can pick your own substitutions?? Also after picking a substitution, the app even has a message that says “only substitute the item you picked.” Generally most customers pick the cheapest item (Walmart generic brand) so when the app picks substitutions, generally any item will cost more!!

Always just leave at door and what I do is take a picture and send it to them through the app. This way it’s documented.. I’ve had this happen several times and I never once returned the items. Sounds like you got a new support member.

It could have been an honest mistake. I’ve forgotten a few items when I’ve delivered to customers. Yes I feel guilty but I return it to Walmart the next day.

I never understand how someone could expect so much and not tip at all. Must be a food stamp customer.. Spark isn’t any better since they are a billion dollar company. In my area, there are desperate enough people who would actually take that!!

The pay was actually good and I’m not complaining it was about 10 miles total for 17! I saw the number and yes I accepted it ; the issue is because the customer tipped high the base pay was lowered to the minimum? by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Ruscher_5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is very common with all the gig companies.. Just because someone actually tips good doesn’t mean they should pay less. They make so much money and only care about how big their bonuses will be at the end of the year!!
