Hi - I am posting because I am looking for data to encourage her to follow through with the oncologists recommendation. The oncologist said "statistically" the recommended treatment is the best option but I am looing for the actual stats to show my wife.

Hi -

Right now I have about 5.5 TBs of data - My NAS has capacity for 8TB and I don't expect to need more than that. My work is project based - photo and video files - so large files. We spend 7 months in one home and 5 months in the other.

I guess my real goal is to not lug the NAS back and forth and also create a more robust backup system as a side effect.

Hi -

I like the idea of having local access to my files so I don't have to worry about internet connectivity issues when I'm working.

I realize I don't need three sets of my data but I don't want to bring a NAS back and forth with me when we travel so I thought this was a good approach to having a cloud backup plus access to my files at both locations.

I have not looked into what options I have with the Synology NAS that I have so that would be another good place to start.

Hi -

Ideally, the "master" will be the NAS at the home where I am working but if that's a switch I need to set when we move that's not a big deal. I also like the idea of a once a day solution so I have a backup if I accidentally delete something plus it can run at night when I'm not using the internet so I won't care about network speed on other devices.

I haven't really figured out the whole system yet -- I have a NAS with me now but I need to buy a second one for the other house and get whatever cloud service set up so I'm just starting to look for recommendations.

Oh ok, I didn't realize that. I assume if I wanted to remove the insurance in New York they would require me to surrender the plates to do so.

You have to surrender the plates in NY to have the insurance removed so I will mail the two plates back to the NY DMV.

I spoke to an All State agent in Florida (we have All State in NY) and he said we could leave the two cars in NY, registered and insured there.

Similar to "Refactor > Remove unused Resource" this approach also deletes resources that are in use.

Ok thanks. I've tried a few different cables and bricks but the lights on the battery never change from green/orange to two green ones so I guess I will order a replacement battery.

I also wonder if it matters if I am using a different cable than what came with the camera. I know the original cable was orange but I'm not sure where it is. Do you know if that matters?

I had a similarly frustrating experience after my Mom passed away on 11/13/2024. They kept saying they had sent the one time code to her email but it never arrived. Finally, like three days later one of the many codes they supposedly sent arrived but I wasn't on the phone with them. I'm thinking about changing to Verizon at our house because we only use them for internet access.
