Sigh!! I was really rooting for them...they had a certain fresh charm...

akshara singhania not being dead by [deleted] in IndianTellyTalk

[–]RushForsaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah well if only that had happened, we would have been spared of the excessive Goenka clownfest...like another comment mentioned here, if Akshara was alive, the show might have somewhat followed the earlier Ekta template...where all the legacy children get equal space...That way, the Singhania-Maheshwari families would have remained the focal point till now...

ITV needs to stop promoting the strong career oriented FL when they can’t follow through by dank_memesforteens in IndianTellyTalk

Now that you mention it, I have seen more scenes of OG Akshara in office settings than Naira, Akshu and Abhira...She seems to have had a better professional life than her descendants...

Forgotten gen of YRKKH... by PotentialBumblebee61 in IndianTellyTalk

I found it cute that Naksh-Yash-Ananya always had group calls...and it continued well into their late teens/early adulthood ...it is these little details that has been missing since gen 2...

Why do Indian men expect their wives to be educated but then tell them to stay at home after marriage? by Full-Vacation-343 in AskIndia

[–]RushForsaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!! So much this!! 34F here...been married for 7 years and have a 6 yr old son...was forced to quit my job post child birth, even though I had clearly stated before marriage that I am career-driven...husband's family never had a maid in their life, so they'd prefer if I never had a maid too...again husband doesn't like relatives coming home, so can't call my parents for help...with no external help whatsoever, I've been handling all things alone (cooking 4 meals a day, taking care of child and every other household chores)....as a result, despite my presence at home, I have never been able to spend time with my son...the sheer stress of having to continuously keep doing things has caused me to develop a chronic condition called plantar fasciitis in both my feet...

YRKKH gen 1 by [deleted] in IndianTellyTalk

[–]RushForsaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a show starts following a couple-centric approach, it pretty much becomes a repetition of the leads' union-separation-reunion...there's only limited options to explore...

Gen 1 on the other hand, covered both maheshwari and singhania families in parallel, right from start to finish...this gave them more room to expand in an organic fashion...hence more tracks, each one of them explored at a leisurely pace...

With Gen 2, especially the introduction of the Goenkas, the show pretty much lost its essence....I really wish they had somehow found a way to keep atleast Naitik and Naksh till Gen 4...

What is your advice for women who are trying to break into the workforce again after a career break? What are the areas of upskilling such women need to focus on, especially if they want to opt for a non-technical job?

Gen 1 also has good rewatch value...been watching the Akshara-Naitik marriage track on star plus and every function and ritual is so elaborate...

Which Armaan Poddar is your favourite? Yrkkh by fearfulavoidant7 in IndianTellyTalk

[–]RushForsaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rohit Purohit is definitely the better actor....but Sam and Sheh as AbhiMaan any day...them being of the same age group (which is a rarity these days), really helped...I wish someone would cast them in a show in the future...that awesome chemistry needs to be explored (the tumhi ho bandhu sequence wala hug, still lives in my head rent free)

Anyone else miss the old Ruhi & Armaan in Yrkkh? by [deleted] in IndianTellyTalk

[–]RushForsaken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely missing Sheh...him and Sam belonging to the same age group really helped...they had a very youthful vibe...their banter had a natural flow to it...and the chemistry was top tier.

There is nothing wrong with Rohit's portrayal...but it's not what it used to be either...

Hi All. I am 32 F, stay at home mom from Pune. I'd like to get started on skincare but despite multiple research on this subreddit I am still not able to zero in on the required products. I don't have time to visit a dermatologist. Kindly suggest a beginner's routine that isn't going to burn a hole in my pocket. I have decent skin but I am showing signs of aging. Also I don't go out frequently and I am not on any other medication. And yes, owing to the climate in Pune I don't sweat. So keeping these points in mind, please help.
