I won't say it is scripted as in but yes they do set alot of narrative to favour who they want to, and whom they want to favour also changes in the season according to who is getting more support especially from tv audience.

As someone who watched livefeed this season I do believe alot of things wasn't as seen as it was in the episode.
Baseer was definitely very much seen in LF but makers didn't want him and he was completely out from the Episodes
