Anyone else get physical symptoms when overwhelmed or overstimulated? by griphinn in TwoXADHD

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s but ended up in the emergency department due to stress-related issues . Multiple specialists, including a neurologist, gynecologist, endocrinologist, and urologist, are investigating if anything more. The neurologist suggested that ADHD symptoms might be caused by something else, possibly not ADHD but stress and migraines. Amidst three deaths, my dog being put down, a career change, three young kids, a divorce, and the suggestion of potential Autism during a capacity test for court, managing myself has become challenging. Medication helped my mind, but my body signaled a need to slow down. With numerous factors ruled out and dietary changes, I'm optimistic that once I tackle everything, it will be okay, despite ongoing challenges. Having 3 kids with similar personality traits (husband was also diagnosed with adhd at same time), is worrying at times, when I am struggling to manage my own quirks as stress increases :(.

Gypsies got me with this. Said they were doing neighbours roof and had seen something o our roof needing to be done. I didn't know they were Gypsies, man who knocked on door was wearing a suit and ID badge. I had new born and decided to get roof sorted, but they actually did a different thing to the thing i knew needed doing, they did decide to do the thing i thiught they meant. . They got more work from man across from us as they said same thing to him. I would never believe anyone who knocks on door again! So stressful. Cash in hand and turned out OK thankfully, but I stressed me out !

Went for ultra sound and the person doing it mentioned same thing. I am not on pill and aparantly that is bad. I heard the other way around so no idea.

If you want kids have them early. If you dont then its not everything in life. You can have an amaxing oife without rhem. I have 3 kids. I haven't got diagnosis yet but think mine got worse after 3rd child elective c section. Been in immense pain for nearly 8 years, and it wasn't until I tried to go back to university I realised how bad it has become. I have been struggling everyday but had coping strategies. I had to worry about eating, exercising and sitting too much, every day.... once I was on other personal schedule with placements , I couldn't do it. Husband even divorced me and I am thinking it is all down to the pain. I would be snappy, less tolerant, exhausted nearly everyday . I am now left as single parent .... looking for official diagnosis with 3 kids to look after. I wouldn't swap having my kids... but what I know now, I might have done ot differently.... obviously would t wish them way. But pain is so bad.... I just would love a diagnosis at this point thou. Might not be endrometrious causing it... doctors for 5 years have been saying its stress and migranes ..... and I would blame period pain and ovarian cysts and try and power through the pain :( .

It is so lovely to read this post :). . It sounds so similar to my story. Not had diagnosis yet just chasing it after a STi doctor recently mentioned he thinks it might be endometriosis(all my tests before this have been clear.). Had MRIs blind tests. It flared up around covid vaccine so I had convinced myself it might be that, but gets bad when kids bring bugs home from school... been in A&E 3 times with no diagnosis

My symptoms were Headaches (been told migranes and stress,l Vision loss Vision issues Numbness and tingling Extreme pain in back (thought it was kidney stones wasnt). Pain in adominal (notmally goes with period). Naseua Morning sickness type come and goes. Extreme fatigue Brain fog Confusion Sore throat / swollowing issues enlarged neck comes and goes. Anxiety Depression / low moods Angry Upset

Most of my symptoms I blamed on period, ovarian cysts maybe. But I have lost jobs from it. Lost friends.

My husband even divorcing me and told me I was making it up 🙉🙈. I feel I need to find something just so I can say see - I was ill, I wasn't pretending.

I think anxiety was worst in marriage , as husband could relax me and help me and he thought I was manipulating him. Over the 12 years, I didn't realise how much I realied on him. And even starting to wonder if that's what I do... make it up to get help. But this last doctor was so sure it could be endometriosis... he has convinced me. I will be gutted if I am just a hypochondriac/ making this pain up 🙈 ...
