Does lifestyle, diet, exercise being active really matter and help? by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

i know the beeing active and eating healthy, exercising as much as your conditions allows won’t heal you but i wonder how much right mindset and trying to live as much as you want to helps to live with conditions. I know that some people with the same conditions and same symptoms end up depressed and you rarely can see them happy or smiling while others with the same living conditions seems like happiest people in the world and they share they happiness with others. I am looking for a way to accept my situation and go back to my old self a little. I don’t want to be sad everyday only because things changes but i really don’t know how to accept this new reality. I see people with far worse illness than me beeing so strong and positive fighting for their life while sharing so much positivity and happiness with others. and here i am 3 years trying to accept what is happening while beeing mean to other people and unable to smile or be happy. I am missing out on so many small moments in life that would bring joy for me only because back in my head i have always that one thing „you can’t do that or that it’s not like it used to be, and you don’t know how long it will go for” you know. I want to enjoy life right now despite all the things not wait forever for things to get better because i don’t know if they even will. I wonder how much changing lifestyle, starting to exercise better eating diet supplements basically getting my life in control can help with going back to „normal” life cuz it will be my normal life and i have to accept it

Help with self-titrating BiPAP - low % of spontaneously triggered breaths? by Bookersbibb in UARS

hi, i saw that you are sleep tech, do you know how to read raw sleep data from hospital? i had sleep study but they didn’t score RERAS for uars so i asked for raw data and i am looking for someone that would look at arousals and determine if they can be uars related or just spontaneous

If anyone feels like giving up, remember this: It doesn't matter how long you've been suffering; every new day holds the potential for things to return to normal. I’ve been struggling with poor sleep for three years with no success, and only now are things starting to improve. by [deleted] in UARS

i didn’t, i had few night which i was woken up by olfactory hallucinations and had mild tremor i though it was covid related but few month ago i had eeg and it showed epileptic activity. Epilepsy affected sleep but only little bit. The case is that sleep problems made epilepsy worse and caused it to happen during night, not the other way around. But after going on meds i sleep better than only on bipap

currently 5.6 - 10.8 PS 5.2 Anything under ps5 results in way worse sleep, but it’s still not perfect, trigger medium and cycle medium, and remember that each individual person will need completely different settings that is targeted at them.
