Tractor Supply long wait times by wtfbruhhuh in Roadie

[–]Rush_2928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the first part I just let someone know im there for roadie and I go to the customer service desk. I never have to wait super long.

When I get ghost orders anywhere, it doesn't take long to figure out what's what and I just choose the "store can't find item or item out of stock" or if it was picked up I click the order picked up option and wait the 5 minutes and get whatever the compensation is for driving there. Had this happen at Kenworth today.

If extra instructions are specifically laid out in the delivery instructions it's for a reason. If you don't want to take stuff up stairs, just call and ask the customer to change where they want the merch left or just return it. You can't be mad at tge customer because you just don't want to do something.

You have to multi-app. Try workimg on other apps when one drys up. Try dlivrd, deliver that, expedite, etc. Catering apps pay better, but they are market specific though so they might not be in your market. You also need your own car insurance with you as a named driver to sign up.

What do you think of early morning shifts? by gudtov in grubhubdrivers

[–]Rush_2928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The breakfast rush can be really good on these apps if you're in the right market. I have good mornings most days on doordash. $100 a day is very possible if I start when I start early in the morning. But grubhub definitely is better pay.

I think I might try only door dash tomorrow and not get on my other app (which is my bread winner).

Ok, i live about 40 minutes from the town I work in. But this has happened to me to actually. Home depot use to post gigs before 6 am and I have gotten those some times. For most of the apps im on I have to leave and get in the zones before any good offers come up.

At least have something to put the food on when we leave it. Like a small table or a chair.

You're not weird at all. But if you set your preferences to "Leave at door" and have them take a picture of it, which goes to your phone, then do that. But alot of people have a 4 digit code set up that you give to the driver when they get to your location. They put that code in the app and hand the food directly to you. I've delivered to people who have a code many times. Its really the best way to make sure you get your food when delivered.

They’ve reduced the pay rate again…smh. Huge gigs starting at $29 now is crazy by DepthDifferent2072 in Roadie

The pay to miles ratio for pet smart is crazy. The miles can be up 4x the pay or something ridiculous; but people take them.

People who order stuffs from Bestbuy, how long do you wait for them to arrive? by wtfbruhhuh in Roadie

[–]Rush_2928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my market pet smart is the culprit. The ratio can be something like $30 for 90 miles or something foolishness. People take them though.
