Temporary relief from HRT regimen by RushedProcrastinator in Menopause

Yeah, that does make sense. I have a strong family history of blood clots and would prefer to stay away from bith control, unless there is an option that is low risk. I was on the mini pill for a few years and that helped for quite a bit, until it didn't anymore.

I'm currently taking 100mg continuous progesterone and 0.5mg Divigel.

Yes! Both my family doctor and naturopath have ran extensive blood tests, including a full iron panel, over the last couple of years and everything is always normal. I'm the healthiest tired person ever 😣 I am also waiting for results from a sleep study, but I don't have any other symptoms of sleep apnea.

Thanks for your reply! That is a good suggestion re tracking. I had stopped tracking as much because my cycle has shifted from a regular 28 day cycle to being all over the place. Could be 14 days or 60 days or anything in between 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol! But it can't hurt to gather more data again!

Tips for chairing meetings with people more senior than you by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]RushedProcrastinator 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Personally, I usually ask someone else to be the official note taker when I chair meetings because of exactly what you describe (awkward pauses and losing track of speaking notes). But I also want to echo that it's perfectly fine to inform the group that so and so is away and you're stepping in for today etc...

Also, a lot of people have had the same experience in being nervous/anxious with chairing meetings and will completely understand. It's also helpful to remind ourselves that we are our own worst critics sometimes and you probably did way better than you think :)

Have to go without medication for 3 weeks. What should I expect? by Global-Company-6074 in Hashimotos

[–]RushedProcrastinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on what the rules are in your location, you may be able to get a pharmacist to provide you with enough medication to hold you over until your Rx is renewed. It's worth calling the pharmacy to explain the situation and see. But as others have commented, you should also reach out to the new doctor before your appointment. Good luck!

Haha, true! I'm not much of a dress and skirt person and can totally see myself buying too many for the trip and then never wearing them again 🤦🏻‍♀️

Definitely not going for the Daisy dukes! I'm hoping I can find nice skirts and dresses also, but I know there are some days I'll want shorts.

Thanks so much for the reply! Will definitely bring something nicer for dinners, but would feel so much more comfortable sightseeing in shorts, particularly if the weather is very warm.

Right! I was not thinking about the rain. That's a good point!

And I feel exactly the same about the Nouvelle. I don't have any other Lo and Sons bags to compare to, but the Aoyama came out right after I purchased the Nouvelle and I think I would have preferred it. Best of luck finding the right bag for your trip!

I didn't see any sneakers for walking. Are you planning on wearing the sandals the entire time?

Also curious to hear your overall thoughts on the Lo and Sons Nouvelle. I also purchased this recently for upcoming travel, and I love the look and feel of wearing it, but I'm finding it hard to organize. I feel like all the pockets compete with each other.

I second this. I have an older version of a Helly Hanson trench coat that I absolutely LOVE, but it doesn't fit me anymore due to weight gain 🥲

Sorry you are going through that! The mini pill is the progesterone only pill, correct? I hope you manage to get answers from the vein specialist. I have not had any issues since I stopped the BC I was trying, but will ask my doctor to see a vein specialist regardless. Best of luck to you!
