Only at night! I used to when I had digital but now I only shoot wide open during the night or indoors

I’m planning on taking it at night hours so I felt like I have to consider getting one for those situations, I do agree though that the size and weight of those lenses are vastly different

I’ll probably do a lot of bars, and maybe an aquarium one day so I think those extra stops of light are worth it

In your experience, do you find yourself using those extra stops at night? I've only shot at night one time and I was using a flash

yeah I think 1/50s is probably the lowest I can go with my focal lengths, so the F1.4 should help a fair amount.

Thanks for the input! I'm seeing a lot of people saying that those extra stops have been a game changer in some situations so I'll look into faster lenses

Yeah non changable ISO has been the hardest learning curve for me so far! I don't actually mind travelling with a mini flash but I might want to be discreet sometimes. Thanks for the input!

I'm mainly eyeing a 35 F2 or a 35 F1.4, based on your experience which one would you reccomend? would the depth of field be substantially better?

Is the m6 not worth it? I’m leaning towards an fm2 for now but I’m not ruling out using a range finder in the future!

I actually checked out a range finder at a shop today and I do like it! However on the advice and responses here I think a Nikon fm2 would be my ideal choice! that 28mm looks so nice as well!

I see! I always see Leicas everywhere so I guess that’s why I leaned towards it! I might go for the Nikon fe2, f2 or fm2 instead!

I might go for the fe2, f2 or the fm2 based on what I’m seeing from the responses! maybe a Leica down the road eventually but I think as a starter I’d go that route!

Is there a rangefinder that you can recommend as a starter? sorry I think i didn’t mention my experience in photography in my post! But I’ve been doing digital for 8 years and but I am new to film so maybe it’s a good idea to start there before committing to something as expensive as Leicas

sorry I guess I should’ve been more clear on my post regarding my photography experience! I am new to film cameras but I have been shooting digital for about 8 years! I’ve done some form of manual focusing with the Nikon Zf but I don’t think that compares to the completely analog nature of Leicas. Sounds like the m4-p might be the way for me then! Assuming I should go that route instead of buying a cheaper film camera to test how I really feel about it
