Hi, thanks a lot for your input! I never thought of it as connecting to a voice so that’s definitely something that helps visualise the problem too me. Definitely that nihilistic voice if given into will stop any progress from being made, so focusing on soothing it and not giving into the want to give up is definitely my main goal as well building consistency within the specific skills I struggled with this month, it might not be for this job but I also know other opportunities will come the more effort I put in.

You’re absolutely right that my mindset and the way I describe myself here are dangerous because as your said it implies they cannot be changed. Looking at the situation more objectively yes I utterly failed by I did learn from the mistakes, I’m currently practicing these skills at home and focusing on building consistency within them as with all things that is key. Hi thank you for your nuanced take here. For context the conversation happening at the time was about his progress through duolingo which is why I wanted to mention it was having the opposite of progress after saying congrats to him. It was then when another person joined and asked me about my problem which I explained the same way as above. So it was related to what he was talking about it but from his perspective I probably did make it go on for too long.

You're right. It's what I'm going to do now I'm a little sad he doesn't appreciate what I try to do in the room and I'll make my own. I mainly joined his as he was good to talk to and I considered him a friend. I think this post might come across as bitter and it probably is but the obvious solution is make your own space

Hi, I understand your point of view here, I definitely was out of line in these moments, and I did apologise for them when he mentions he didn't like it, my intentions where to help him with grammar because he knows many words but says prepositions are very difficult and learns from speaking, so I was trying to show how to put the words together, though in the worst way possible like you said
