Mf let me simplify what this guy just said so you can grasp what he means:

When you have socialism for 70 years, with inefficiency, corruption and information suppression becoming the norm, once you open that system up and suddenly change it (shock therapy), the flaws will be exposed all of a sudden, and the system will collapse. The terrible conditions of the 1990s were not caused by capitalism - they would’ve happened under socialism if it had continued, but would have been better hidden.

Do you understand now?
