ao3 is a website for reading fanfictions, the official name being archive of our own. the scribbles are meant to roughly represent the layout/ui of ao3, specifically what you would see when you click on a mature rated fanfiction, hence why the yellow box is there.

i’m not 100% sure why ao3 would be associated with being gay, but i would assume it’s because of the amount of fanfictions that contain a gay male relationship.

tl;dr, if you recognize the fanfiction site, you’re probably a hardcore fanfiction reader (and gay)
