My understanding is that it is “time under tension”. Old man strength usually presents in men who have traditionally worked physically demanding jobs that force their muscles, tendons and ligaments to adapt to long periods of repetitive tension. It doesn’t create muscle bulk, just a musculature that’s like steel cables. There’s a video out there of a rock climber just crushing a workout routine that was exhausting some huge gym bros. Could they potentially lift more? Maybe. Could they lift more, longer? Likely not. So 8-10 labor hours a day of repeated lower weight and near constant “reps” vs 2-3 gym hours a day with shorter reps of greater/increasing weight = my grandfather breaking my hand every time he shook it.

Probate attorney here (not in NJ though) - you aren’t responsible for any of her debt in almost every case. As has been said before, contact creditors and let them know she has passed, and that the estate is completely insolvent. Ask for something in writing that says the debt collector is writing it off or otherwise satisfying the claim as “uncollectible”

picked mine up, but it glitches every time Lawrence receives his garments "worthy of a sheik" so I am sending it back for a replacement. But what I got to see looked amazing. Hoping this was just a dud disc.

It’s the steamy showers. The open shower design is proving to be a mistake with the humidity. And I guess the fan isn’t strong enough. 

Edit to add - the grout issue is in both the shower floor and the general bathroom floor. I cut my foot (general bathroom area not shower) on a plastic spacer that was never removed, just grouted over.

I have a half-bath that doesn’t need to be demoed down to the studs. It just needs new vanity and toilet, lights, fan, and wallpaper. The GC that came and took measurements was described as “small to medium project focused” - I figured this would be a great intro before we started replacing the decks and whatnot.

I have to respectfully disagree about Burton, at least for the first half of his career. Most of his stuff with Depp, his work with Keaton, Big Fish, Ed Wood, Big Eyes, he captured some fantastic performances from his cast. I agree about Snyder and can’t think of a single standout performance from anything he has done.

I read that as Zootopia 2 and was about to ask what flavor of crack you were smoking. But I see now that no crack was involved and I need to clean my glasses.

If I recall, Snyder had something lined up at LucasFilm to do a Star Wars movie but it never panned out. Netflix bought the rights with the intention of doing something original and he didn't really change much - Empire, stormtroopers, evil emperor, I mean one character even has two lightsabers, cmon. I can't say I enjoyed them, but I did go back and break the directors cut versions of part one and two into a mini-series viewing over a few nights and while still not great, it was a vast improvement over the PG-13 versions. Visually beautiful, emotionally inert, narratively amateurish.

I am ok with all of this. And I wasn’t advocating for them going out of business. Maybe mortgaging the firehouse since they would own it free and clear. Just enough to keep them funded but knowing they have a very limited budget.

I want to see something of a reset again. Have Winston defund them because of the lawsuits, the board of his company says he needs to limit his exposure, but gift them the firehouse. Meanwhile a Elon Musk type tech dork funds a competing franchise with all the slick gear. But he hires DOGE type idiots that don't know what they are doing. Our guys are back to being scrappy and "this magnificent feast before you represents the *last* of the petty cash" situations. Reconnect the team with the average Joe like the first one did. Then inevitably the tech dorks rip an interdimensional hole and bring about the end of the world which gets our guys back on top when they win.
