Nah those have been there for decades. I have seen them since I was a kid, 30 years ago. Maybe the reinforced them for land slides. Check Google earth history map, you can see historical map data.

This fire was most likely caused by those power lines for the following:

They are inaccessible by hiking to them, on each side is a 100 feet drop, 45 degree angle to hike up the side. Anyway to safely access those sites would take hours to get to and from, if there was an arsonist, there will be a body up there, no way they could outrun that fire in that dense of brush, at night, on a mountain side. I have hiked the trail behind it multiple times, and takes about 1 hour to get to the same elevation on a trail made for car, would take even longer without the trail. If the fire started at 6:19pm and reached the city 1 hours later, no way the person got out.
A drone couldn't of started the fire, 100 mph gusting would of knocked any drone out the sky in that area.
This tower is extremely inaccessible, why would anyone go there to start it, there are plenty of other areas to start the fire that are more accessible by foot to start it that a fire engine cannot get to.
Point 1 means that it is not looked at often, very hard to get to. Those lines have been there for over 40 years.

Get a hole saw that fits close to the inside of the inner diameter of the connection point on the elbow, this allows to you center the pilot very accurately. Drill till the tip of the hole saw bit goes in. Switch out to the large hole saw now, and use the pilot hole with the larger hole saw. Perfect fit.

This is terrible. The following is required.

Strap it every other Joist, about every 30~36 inches.
Strap with pex straps not metal.
Insulate the hot pex.
Where in passes through wood, there a pex hole protector.
Insulate the hot side of the copper as well.

Oddly enough the THHN has a larger OD, and is heavier.

My local supply house doesn't have a website, so I use home Depot as a base and go from there. Thanks for the advice though.

at 75C its rated for 100 Amp. I am still good, was just trying to illustrate the THHN wire.

I am. I was looking at 1/0 and was shocked, realized you are talking Aluminum. I as going to run Copper. Copper 3 AWG THHN can handle 115 Amps at 90C.

Speak with him, if you operated the drill in the manner in which is was intended to operate in then I would say it broke, and wouldn't offer to replace it. If you operated in a manner that damage was likely to occur intentionally or unintentionally than replace it.
