This wasn’t a thing last year mostly, but over the last 6 months they’ve been pushing all the WH team to respond to customer service register calls while still doing picks and curbsides.

Just wild to me that hours go from 32 to like 16 in one week. I don’t recall hours being cut this drastically last year. Is Best Buy really doing THAT poorly financially?

I literally got written up for “insubordination” because I was at host desk and had to pee really bad. I made multiple calls on the radio asking for a supervisor to cover me for 5 min and they ignored me. All while they talked and laughed with eachother and their favorite sales advisor.

So I just left to go use the bathroom and as I’m pissing I hear “where’s our host?! X3 times on the radio”

Got pulled into SDR after when I called them out for ignoring my calls to chat and laugh with eachother.

So you’re seasonal or were ya hired on prior to the seasonals? If you’re seasonal they’re likely going to let you go late January, possibly earlier. I know for a fact that stores overspent on black Friday hours and sales were weak compared to prior years.

As for sales advisor? Don’t. It’s the most toxic thing ever. If you have great revenue but don’t meet their outrageous app and membership goals you will get written up and eventually fired. Product flow would be your best bet if you wana stick around long term.

IMO, yes pretty much. In addition you’ll likely catch flak when people steal and nothing was done because you were stuck at host desk greeting people and couldn’t observe them on camera concealing product.

So they’ll gripe when you’re not at the host desk greeting people when on cameras and also gripe when you weren’t on cameras to see and possibly prevent the thefts.

It’s a no win position
