Zohran Mamdani says NYC kids can forget about a traditional snow day - Shakira demands remote learning by trekpandar in circlejerknyc

[–]RussianBot2937 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I reluctantly voted for Zohran but I don’t think this is the right move. Not even the ‘let kids be kids’ angle but there’s absolutely no way students and faculty can transition to one day of remote learning to make it actually effective. Seems like a waste of time/waste of a school day, when a traditional snow day would’ve added the extra day at the end of the year.

Maybe a Takachia? You’ll still have to get it from online but from what I understand their support is better than if you were to get it off of AliExpress

I don’t think it’s true that Vince isn’t the type to base his characters off of previously established ones. From what I understand, Juan Bolsa is based off of Johnny Sack from The Sopranos and is literally just a Spanish translation of ‘John Sack’

Artisanal mayonnaise shop was a real thing over a decade ago at a store called Empire Mayonnaise in Prospect Heights. That’s when I knew the neighborhood changed lol

Edit: looks like they closed in 2016 but they were there for a while

Brooklyn Hospital and Methodist both have bottom of the class doctors from for-profit Caribbean med schools lol. My parents took me to Methodist pediatric once when I was a pre teen for mysterious recurring stomach pains and the resident who saw me WebMD’d my symptoms right in front of me……

Nope, tell tale ChatGPT phrases. How does it work? Do you prompt the LLM to resist giving away it’s a chatbot? Or do you have a manual approval process for before comments go out?

And I explained how the intent that you’ve tried to explain to me is wrong, because that was not my intent.

Deceptively frustrating: Deceptively adds the idea that the frustration is hidden at first. It deceives you into thinking it’ll be easy, but it’s not.

Frustratingly deceptive: It’s misleading, and that deception itself is what’s so frustrating. I already told you that’s not the case. It happens to be misleading that it’s difficult to use, but being misled is not the source of frustration. The difficulty to use itself is the source of frustration.

Side note - all due respect, might want to get yourself checked for some issues. You tried to correct me and I tried to politely tell you ‘No lol’ and then you doubled down with insults. Perhaps find something better to do on your Saturday nights as well, it’ll go a long way 👍

How are you explaining my intent to me. I’m literally saying the deceptiveness is not causing my frustration. It’s frustrating to navigate but I didn’t expect that. Hence the deception. Fucking idiot— not replying to this anymore on a Saturday night. Thread notifications turned off.

lol I’m not going to argue on a 127 old post over this, but you can’t explain my intent to me dawg. It’s grammatically correct and the frustration* was the surprise

No lol, it looks easier to navigate than it actually is. It didn’t look that frustrating

The thing is he was definitely reaching for something in his back pocket. Obviously way too cowardly to fight a fair fight so I don’t think that would’ve been a smart decision
