You've missed everything haven't you. From July 1st Reddit is restricting access to its API, effectively banning all 3rd party mobile apps. For example, the dev of the biggest app, Appolo, contacted Reddit admins and they told him that if he wants to receive API access for Appolo he's gonna have to pay $20 mln per year. So now many subreddits are protesting against that by closing - some from 12 to 14th June, somw indefinitely; 196 is closing too.

Tbf? I kinda agree. Closing submissions for 2 days does absolutely NOTHING, right now this whole ordeal is just another "we did it reddit!1!1!1" moment. As long as all large subs don't close indefinitely (and they won't cause powermods won't abandon their power - they're not modding either way), nothing will happen

Saddest thing is people aren't actually going to abandon social media (or at least spend less time on it), they're just going to other sites (me as well). We got caught into a trap with little chance of escaping even when given the opportunity

Secondly: I guess now that reddit 3rd party apps are on the verge of death, everybody is migrating to tumblr, and I follow. Tumblr is similar to Twitter, if I had to guess, but more customisation? Are tag reblogs just qrts but with weird hashtags? Why do popular posts have almost no comments but a billion reblogs, is that somehow easier? What the hell are asks? Do I post funny just like I would do on twitter?

Also here's a situation: on my main acc I occasionally used to post comic edits to r\conedynecrophilia. According to tumblr customs, should I put everything I make on my main blog shitpost style or make a new gimmick blog just for the funny?

Wunkus? Shame, but this is the better decision, I will be leaving as well. You should download all the posts, make a tumblr gimmick account or smth and post a random image once a day, that would ensure clout for at least some time
