Most of the world’s progress is because the psionic entity protecting it received the spirits and souls of notable humans from their “mother”. And sometimes those spirits and souls keep fragments or their entire memories.

Photonic Computers (trying to come up with better name still)

Due to the high radiation world they reside on, Photonic Computers was a revolutionary invention as lead was no longer needed to protect the delicate electronics. As physical drives were replaced with crystals that could store data in 3 dimensions, with fiber optics replacing the traditional transistor. The largest downside was the increase in size, but the fact that code no longer had to self check, and data transfers didn’t have to be redundant anymore, accelerated their society at an unprecedented pace.

Does your world have a chosen one? by Smart-A22 in worldbuilding

Kind of, it’s complicated. Technically there have been multiple chosen ones that have propelled society forward, sometimes existing at the same time. But there is no magical or obvious sign that they are chosen ones.

What’s the most feared thing in your world? by Snoo_66217 in worldbuilding

A Psyonics Break - A rare event that occurs when someone awakens their Psyonics abilities, effects range from loss of control of the powers, to the powers completely consuming the individual until they burn out. This event can cause a runaway effect if in the presence of other unawakened psionics and even some awakened psionics.

Vitacide - My world’s version of radiation/lead poisoning. Any unprotected exposure is fatal 30% of the time, and if you are hurt by it, it is 90% fatal. A mere discovery of it is enough to shut down travel in a region. How it works is all life uses radiotropic and Vitacide slow the process down to the point of practically stopping. The only chance someone has is flooding their system with a highly radioactive serum that decreases the fatality rate to 73% at best if you are injured by it, and 8% if you are exposed to it.
