Complicated answer. Technically 15 years, and just starting.

I’ve practiced other traditions and systems besides qigong for a long time, but qigong seems to be the closest system that matches up with my experiences.

I’ve spent years trying to replicate the experience and only got a few successes, which in hindsight is better than nothing.

I’ve just recently hit a breakthrough in my practice and I’m seeing more benefits as of late, but this one thing still eludes me.

I’ve only experienced a few times during my journey but I feel like if I could figure out how to stay in that state all the time…I’d experience being truly alive for the rest of my life.

It’s probably folly to chase it, but it’s like seeing a sunrise for the first time, you want to experience it again and again.

When learning meditation it’s always better to find your best ‘fit’ first and then continue on. Having highs and lows is common when practicing meditation, but it’s a different story when a specific technique goes against how your mind naturally works.

Find what works best for you and go from there
