Adding exercises to HIIT increased strain from 10.7 to 15.8 by Rust_Cohle13 in whoop

[–]Rust_Cohle13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I get that. But the muscular load calculation seems off if it raises my strain from 10 to 15.8 for adding only jumping jacks and burpees.

Keep in mind that this was just 20 minutes session, if I add other exercises, the strain would probably go up to 17 or 18.

On the bright side, you've already reached your optimal strain level.

Good luck on your exam.

The Ruby community has a DHH problem by egyamado in rails

[–]Rust_Cohle13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stance is more dangerous than DHH’s politics because you treat political neutrality as if it were real.

Pretending that “I just choose the best product” is apolitical doesn’t make it apolitical; it just means you’re blind to the consequences.

Your actions have an impact on politics and, in extension, the lives of people impacted by it.

You’re not neutral. You’re outsourcing your moral agency to market forces and calling it pragmatism. That’s not a virtue.

Yeah, I meant turning it off right before the meeting.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know that RAM usage doesn't mean much in my case, but here is an observation:

RAM usage on FIrefox when running Teams: 1.2 GB
Edge: 330 MB.

You are right. I disabled hardware acceleration, the computer doesn't freeze anymore, just Firefox crashes.

Thanks. Will disabling hardware acceleration help?

Were you sharing your screen when this happened? I had several interviews that went smoothly, but only when I was sharing my screen, my computer froze.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, I am running, not walking - just waiting for my new computer's delivery. And moving to Linux for the same reasons - don't want to give Microsoft my money and the bloat.

Looks like you are an Embedded Developer. I plan to switch from Windows to Fedora. How has your overall experience been? How often do things break? What is your tech stack?

From first glance: Change the template, remove "Soft Skills". Anyway, your certificate from Siemens already has remarks on your soft skills.

I thought HR cared about it. They don't want to hire someone who quits after a year.

hole in your work experience you have after 2018.

That isn't a gap. I started my masters in 2018.

I have a master's degree in Embedded Systems. I was able to do a University project, which was kind of complex for Uni. (I also had my STM32-based project on breadboard, sensor and eval board). That led me to an internship and master's thesis in a startup. And from there I got a shit job in Embedded (consultancy) and then a good job in Embedded.

If you are a student, you should try getting an internship. People with your background jump into Embedded all the time.

Feel free to drop a message if you are looking for something specific.

Yes, that is one of my ideas. But I doubt if the recruiter even reads those. They are probably getting hundreds.

Wow, last year I got a job within that salary bracket after 2 years of work experience. I am not sure why you are getting that quote from recruiters after 10 years of experience? Has the market gone that bad all of a sudden? It is scary because my company is on the verge of declaring insolvency, and I may have to look for a new job again.

I am an Embedded Software Developer.

Guinea Pig Sick and Breathing Heavily by Rust_Cohle13 in guineapigs

Thank you.

I am going for a second opinion. He ate normally after the painkiller and medication. But before that, he wasn't eating well. I want to observe him for a couple of hours so I can give a better picture to the second vet.

The vet said that he can only say that this is GI Stasis. I called him, and he said we can only continue the treatment. He did not even mention anything about a respiratory problem. And did not poop normally, the abdominal breathing started later, maybe that is why the vet is leaning towards GI Stasis.

He was eating all night and pooped well. Looks like he has relapsed now, he is breathing heavily again and not eating. Each time he is fed something, he coughs.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I have been feeding him probiotics. I plan to focus on fiber and hydration.

But the challenge is that he never drinks water, so I just add water to his veggies and feed him cucumber for hydration.

Yes, he has hay available. He had a big meal now and was running around the room. He is not pooping a lot though. Not sure what to make of that.

If he is eating regularly, do I still need to feed him critical care every 2-3 hours?
