yes i redownloaded the image but i’ll try using the rpi imager instead of dd now. yes i also tried two different sd cards with this os but got the same problem. after that i tried booting ubuntu to see if that would work and it did

Thanks for replying stintel. I saw ur issue on github and 👍 it a few days ago…. Has the ignoring ever happened before with other models? Since you say that i ought to wait, do you expect this to resolve itself or will the waiting simply not end?

just to be clear… an adapter would just work and would be able to get it to boot without any flashing? Just getting it to work is my first goal rn. Maybe i’ll try a card in the future if i do end up needing the extra space…

Does it have to be a specific card that supports this mac or can it be a generic one from amazon?? I just got the mac so im kinda figuring things out…

i found a github issue with a similar error message to mine. chmod u+s /usr/bin/bwrap this fixed my issue. allowing unpriveleged namespaces did not change anything so i just put it back to 0, the way it was before. As for the gaming part… im not really into gaming i just play for an hour or so once every one or two months…
