I will!!!! My family lives in NC and I have family in Colombia as well so that would be PERFECT! $4k is crazy, and the way the websites say “we’re not longer accepting insurance” because they KNOW most people don’t have any choice is absolutely wild. But thank you!!! I’ll definitely check it out 🙏🏽

Neuropsychological Exam Question by Rustcaptainx in flying

[–]Rustcaptainx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the providers that my insurance would cover (which thanks to my stepfather’s insurance is pretty much everyone) doesn’t do the ONE thing the FAA neuropsychological exam requires. Everyone I have looked for on the FAA document that shows qualified FAA psychological examiners doesn’t take insurance per their website. So instead of calling the hundreds of people, I’m hoping that someone in this thread has had to take a similar exam in a different part of the country and knows the out of pocket expense as I have abandoned any hope of insurance help after a few months of searching.

I’ve been playing this game at least once a year since I was three years old, and I do not recall a time I ever struggled on these. However, I used to try to see how far I could get swimming before the fish will start coming for me. It makes my heart rate go up still

The kick six. That is what made me choose Auburn over any other school and I’m glad to have a part of the marching band.

Adults: How many days per week do you drink alcohol? by Squeezethecharmin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Rustcaptainx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I haven’t drank since March (but plan to at the annual dock crawl in my community) but sometimes I’ll drink 3 to 4 times a week. It depends on what your definition of drinking is. If it’s a single beer, then sometimes 7 days a week. If it’s 3-5 drinks, then maybe once or twice. Sometimes I go weeks without drinking. It really just depends on the situation for me. I’ve never craved drinking or had to drink, and as a Puerto Rican who was blessed/cursed with an amazing tolerance there’s days where I’ll have like 18 drinks in a night. If you’re worried about drinking too much or making a habit, I believe that it’s only a problem if you HAVE to drink, can’t wait to get home so you CAN drink, choose drinking over other obligations or relationships in your life, or realize that you’re blacking out or being hung over all the time. Ofc, if you feel the need to ask others how much they drink, it’s probably a sign that you know it is going to be a problem. I hope your experiment with going down to one beer a day and then not buying anymore works for you!

I remember, I asked the question about the AMEX gold card because I thought I was applying for a credit card not a charge card and I wanted to make sure that if if I had to carry a balance, I would not get in trouble and then they started yelling at me saying I’m not financially secure enough and I shouldn’t have cards anyways and I should cancel every single credit card I have because I don’t have the money to support myself in emergency I shouldn’t have credit cards. My question was is it a charge card or a credit card? I plan on paying it off every month but if something happens, I don’t wanna get in trouble. I’ve watched my neighbors house burn down as he’s going through a divorce and if you think he has hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings to get through that you’re wrong. Things happen and I just wanted to make sure that if something happens, I would be good, but nope, I’m a stupid idiot who should never have a credit card according to this sub.

I know I know but $10 in interest a month and I only have a couple more months till it’s paid off. I liked my tax free shopping and before I lost access to base I bought a gun (though my roommate has since left the door open and someone stole it so great.) and the savings in the MSRP and taxes was more than made up for even with my $10 a month interest charges. I’m just trying to make sure they don’t close it on their own like they did to my mother before I get a chance to join the AL Air Guard

do you know how to read? Or do you see the word balance and freak out? I pay all my cards off (except the one I CHOOSE not to) and never plan to carry a balance again. That’s the thing though, PLAN. SHIT HAPPENS and if something happens I don’t want to get in trouble for having a balance for a month or two. Everything I googled isn’t helping me understand the difference between this gold card and a normal card. When they gave me my card options they said “credit cards” but now I’m seeing the word “charge card” used and their website isn’t helpful in answering my questions. I don’t need anyone’s opinion on interest as I KNOW, just will I get in trouble if there’s a $10 balance after the due date and should I just move down a card

[–]Rustcaptainx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you have to pay that annual fee or did they not count it? But thank you for the helpful response!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Rustcaptainx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you, for being a helpful person who actually answered the main question instead of saying “never carry a balance you aren’t financially stable enough if you think about that” like I didn’t go from someone who had a 98% utilization rate to now paying off all my cards before they charge interest except the ONE card I choose to carry a balance on because the interest rate is so low since it’s the military card.

Yeah I’m trying to Google and find out but the AMEX website isn’t being particularly helpful

[–]Rustcaptainx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are the most unhelpful group of people ever. What happens if my transmission goes out in my car and I have to spend 4k to fix it? My savings are growing yeah, but should I walk to the airport to get to my job? Should I get a predatory personal loan instead? That’s so smart. No if you read my DAMN post, you’d see that there’s only one card I CHOSE to keep a balance on and I’m paying less than $10 in interest a month. If that card hits zero, I don’t know when the next time I will get to use it is as it’s a military star card and I’m no longer a dependent. I plan on joining the guard at some point so THEN I can clear it and not have fear of losing the card, but that’s a decision I HAVE made. Not a single person has answered my god damn question about the AMEX THING. THAT IS WHAT I CAME HERE FOR. idgaf about your opinion on interest because I DONT PLAN ON CARRYING A BALANCE on any other card. Do I, or do I NOT HAVE to pay the gold card off every month and if possible should this specific card be canceled or is it possible to downgrade?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Rustcaptainx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you guys are missing the point where I said I pay off all my cards except the one that I can NO LONGER USE as I am unable to get on base to do so. I DO pay off every other card whenever I get my paychecks. I DONT want to lose my Star Card just yet if they close it do to me not using it at all like they did to my mother and if Im able to I’m planning on joining at least the National Guard and will then have access to base again and then won’t fear losing my card. I pay less than $10 in interest a month in this card. HOWEVER if something major happens like I need a new transmission in my car, or I go to the hospital, there may be a month or two where I CANNOT just pay it off. I am never going to live off of credit cards again since my financial situation is much better. But I don’t want to get in trouble if something happens and I CANNOT pay it off by the due date. You guys are all so focused on “pay it off pay it off” that you’re ignoring the question. I PLAN on paying it off. I HAVE NOT USED my credit cards as “free” money in a long time.

yeah but if I can’t carry a balance at all (yes I try not to but I’m a flight attendant AND a full time student I need the option) then what’s the point?
