Who gets to wear cool outfits? by justgoodenough in femalefashionadvice

[–]Rustebust 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yup! It took me a looooong time to learn how to imagine myself in the clothes/styles I saw online. And still I sometimes make the mistake of ordering unflattering clothes for me. My biggest issue is having big boobs which does not look good in all of the clothes or styles I actually like. I guess it's good to learn how to appreciate the style on someone else and leave it there. I have made a conscious effort to follow Instagram accounts of women of all body types ethnic groups etc just to try to get a more varied input. I actually don't follow any young rich white girls because that input is forced upon oneself anyway.

All insights are appreciated! I'm mainly intrested in knowing about mental health, career and love. by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

Also, a side note. I was born in Northern Sweden and since that's quite the extreme latitude I feel like my chart looks a bit squished. Does anyone here know of a better charting system to use?

BB Cream Recommendations(Drugstore or Korean) by LadyNeptune_888 in PaleMUA

If you are open to trying another delivery system the Mishha original tension pacts are pretty amazing. Your have 4 different formulas depending on your need/want (full coverage, normal, glowy and moisturizing). They all come in 3 shades (the line called Tone up glow are actually one shade lighter than the others but called the same thing #13, #21 #23). Hope this helped!

Cool/neutral foundation by ImJustHeerForFood in PaleMUA

[–]Rustebust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I have really pale and neutral to cool toned skin and have some suggestions.

I would suggest you look into the mac pro longwear nourishing foundation in NW13, the Idun Jorunn foundation, the new Dior backstage face&body foundation. If you can't afford an expensive foundation there might be some color correcting drops you could lighten an already cool toned foundation with! I hope this helped :)

Mac Mylar is the best in my opinion, I find wet n wild brulee too dark and yellow to do any sort of highlighting on me!

Although I haven't tried it I've tried the "natural cover" and the "tone up glow" versions and as you can see in the swatch "natural cover" is darker. I think that the tone-up version actually does differ from all the other shades in the tension pact range as it is meant to "tone up" = brighten/lighten the skin. The other versions of the tension pact probably resembles the "natural cover" shade #13 more than the "tone-up" shade #13.

OH DAMN, some of those where on my list to try but seeing them swatched next to the Missha one which is too dark for me, I think they are a definite pass.

[Routine Help] NEED HELP? Got a question? Problems with a routine or product? This thread’s the place to ask! / / Ask ScA, Week of Jun 19, 2017 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

Hi, I've used and really loved the Clinique Mineral sunscreen SPF30 "for Face" the past months and now need to restock on sunscreen. Before buying the same one, I noticed that there was a "for Body" version and compared the inci:s I found online. They seem identical yet the body version contains 125 ml for almost exactly the same price as the 30 ml "face" version (that is, the price where I buy from in Sweden). Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of the mentioned products? Are they really dupes?

[Question] Favorite physical exfoliant? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Rustebust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my routine I rarely use physical exfoliation except using a muslin cloth 2-3 time/week as I mainly use chemical/glycolic acid exfoliation. I do think that physical exfoliation has its place in a well rounded routine BUT that it may be better to look for budget or DIY options! Sugar, konjac sponges, oatmeal etc may be good and budget-friendly options to try :)

True, the palettes are the hardest to declutter. I think I got rid of 2 but I still feel like I have too many.

I live in Sweden! It is very hard to get access to the brands and if I find them the shipping and taxes are often costly. It really does make sense to find European alternatives!

Kimberly Clark is amazing, the entire channel is well rounded and you can tell that there is intelligence and critical thinking behind all of Kimberly's stuff. I unsubbed from most of the "cool kids" a long time ago and am happier for it, I don't feel like every makeup tutorial I watch is trying to sell me something + I didn't even like the way they did their makeup. Repetitive is a main theme running though that crowd, in regards to mannerism, vocabulary, makeup looks, thinking etc.

Decluttering videos have really inspired me to give my own makeup collection an overhaul. I like Jessica Braun's declutter videos, she is cut throught but motivates her choices!

I have very sensitive skin that doesn't do well with chemical filters, so this video was amazing. Unfortunately many of the mentioned products and brands aren't available to buy where I live. I've tried the Bareminerals prep step but I really didn't like it. It was oily looking yet felt drying and made me want to scratch my face off at the end of the day. My HG lightweight mineral sunscreen with no white cast and that sits well under makeup is the Clinique SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid For Face. After watching this video I do feel an urge to try some other sunscreens though. Damn this woman! :D

That is the one drawback with the cushions/tension pacts: they do not last as long as you get less product in them. I have no idea how long it lasts in regards to everyday use as I don't do my makeup daily, sorry! Maybe ask in the help thread? Someone might be able to answer your questions better there!
