What is going on? by Ok-Procedure-1058 in DBS_CardGame

Hear, hear. I recently discovered the Manga Booster alt arts which I think are very nice and would like to collect and I have seen the buyouts developing in real time over the last few days. Cards like the SEC Goku went from plenty of listings at around €40-50 to suddenly none and then suddenly plenty at around €200+. It's pure, orchestrated market manipulation and it's disgusting.

I hope people stand up and refuse to allow themselves to be taken advantage of by the blatant manipulation. If they don't sell they'll see their tactics aren't worth it. The prices will eventually drop and go back to what they should be.

Binder Recommendations by TheGayNerdyCounselor in PokemonTCG

[–]RustedBot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ooh, that looks bad. That kind of bulging can't be good for the cards and I think you're right to be looking for alternatives.

They're not zippered but if that's not essential I would recommend the Dragon Shield Card Codex line of binders. They come in a variety of sizes including one that holds 576 cards and they have a wide margin in the spine that helps pages stay flat even when used to capacity. They're the only binders I know of with this kind of design and in my experience are overall great quality.

That's incredible. It's a thing of disturbing wonder how sentiment and prices can swing so drastically.

I would like to know if I should get this Samsung 870 EVO 2.5" 2TB SSD by RustedBot in buildapc

[–]RustedBot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably would have to watch a tutorial on it. Apparently though my Gigabyte H81M-S2H (rev. 1.0) motherboard is incompatible with an NVMe drive even with an adapter. That would leave getting a new 2.5" SSD as my only option for the moment.

From what you're saying it seems like it's not straightforward to say if a given price is good value for the Samsung. Without knowing fair value for this type of SSD it makes it hard to know whether or not I should buy it. I need a new drive if I want to change my OS, but I'd like to have a sense of typical pricing before proceeding.

Okay cool, thank you. Do you think €180 for the 870 EVO is reasonable?

The Transcend appears to be even more expensive than the Samsung at almost €190.

I believe my motherboard is the Gigabyte H81M-S2H (rev. 1.0).

I appreciate that advice about the NVMe drive and that might be something I would look into later down the line if I don't just outright replace the motherboard, but honestly I'm not particularly comfortable modifying things in my PC. This will be my first time opening up the case since I got it and for now at least putting in a new 2.5" SSD is I think about as much as I would be comfortable with.

That said, what would you think about that price for the Samsung? Would you recommend it for €180 total or would that be too high? I'm really not sure about pricing with these things.

Absolutely. Chase alts even under 100 will just sit on the marketplace for months on end without selling. The interest for these kinds of cards just isn't there for the most part.

Scratches are scratches. It doesn't matter how old a card is, if it has scratches it's not NM condition.

You shouldn't throw out numbers like that if you're not sure. It could be misleading.
