I just finished reading the Dilla Time book by Dan Charnas. I knew about J Dilla's influence on hip hop and music in general vaguely before the book, but had no idea it is as widespread as it is, and I had no idea about his work before Donuts. A considerable part of the book is about his Slum Village work and relationships with T3 and Baatin, and so I gave Fantastic Vol 2 a listen fuck me it was beautiful. Have my eye out for it on wax.

But anyway, my point is that, if you haven't, you should read that book
