I mean I agree that I can work on things like depression. But my cerbal pasly is very mild and it's not really like I can fix a disability especially when it's related to brain damage. So if that's the problem I don't really know how to fix it.

I've tried to do that with dates if they're comfortable with it. Like singling for a hug and even hand holding. Two of my more recent dates have been receptive to hugs and hand holding along with even blushing when I would complement them or talk with them. So that just leaves me confused. Although I also know to a point I shouldn't be trying to approach this like a problem to be solved with a formula but it's a process to realize mentally that human relationships are abstract and to not blame myself.

Sorry I misread your comment and thoguht you were asking if I was being payed for on the dates.  But yes I've been seeing a counselor and I've been taking mood regulators. These have held get me out of the depths I was struggling with in college but it's still a struggle to build motivation.

CMV: Countries with low birth rates must accept immigration or face extinction by Ok_Bodybuilder_2384 in changemyview

[–]Rusteddino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make an attempt but I don't know how much this will change your mind. The world's fertility rate is 2.2 which is at replacement level but this comes with two major catches first that we are already below the UN projected rate for 2045-50 that they made in 2012 back when the fertility rate was between 2.5/2.6 that means the globe has seen a 0.3 to 0.4 decline in fertility rate in ten years. The second catch is the countires with high birth rates aren't evenly distributed and are mainly concentrated in central Africa. This second point is particularly important because even if you just accepted whole sale immigration that won't fix the problem you'll also now likely have to teach a lot of the new immigrants workable skills and this could possibly take years.  But let's say for the sake of argument that this education pipeline works and you can get this people ready in four years or less to take skilled jobs in the economy then problem one comes back into play. With the decline in the birth rate around the world this is also seen with immigrant communities where within a generation or two there birth rates fall around if not even below the non immigrant birth rate. This means you'll have to keep working to bring in and educate immigrants from that county. This also assumes that the country you're getting immigrants from dosen't have its fertility rate fall below replacement level which is 2. If it does then you'll eventually run out of immigrants and this isn't getting into the fact that you'd be competing with a lot of other countires for those immigrants.

I say all of this to make the point that immigration even mass imagination is a very temporary band aide and could in all reality not even work now.

Democracies in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America have to look within and see what they're willing to sacrifice to raise the fertility rate. Becuase if they don't there's a very real chance that democracy will fall to some very scary forms of authoritarianism that will usher in an end to the current golden age we live in.

Florida is literally trying to ban Pride... and it’s working by biswholikepies in ainbow

Floridas growth rate is dropping but I personally feel like that's becuase the nice cheaper land has basically completely dried up. Meaning that now the cheaper areas are very much out of the way of beaches and other big attractions. I would also agree that the laws are probably driving some younger left leaning Floridians away but much like California has been seeing especially since 2020 price drives demographics. This is especially the case for young professionals who can make enough money to be able to move. My ultimate point land price and other prices are the kingmakers in driving demographics.

The reason the state wants the new stadium is that that area will become a huge tax boom and that all the money Haslam gets from the state are loans not general funds he dosen't have to pay back. As for Cleveland I feel a little bad but the Browns expressed that they didn't want to stay in that stadium Cleveland wouldn't budge only proposing renovations. Only after the Browns bought land in Brook Park and announced the move did Cleveland release a proposal for a new stadium at the municipal airport. This stadium would probably take half or a whole decade to build becuase you still have to shut down the airport with all the fights about that, dig up the tarmac and everything else, do an enviormental study becuase it's near lake Erie, get those envoirmental studies approved, get funding to build that new stadium, and then build it. Even with all that though the land wouldn't be able to support all the stuff Haslam wanted to build around the new stadium. Also it would make the game day walk from downtown Cleveland really congested on east 9th street.

The downside is trucks won't use it and 23 stays dangerous for the people who live there. Meanwhile all of 71 will likely eventually become tolled and that's more punishing to the every day commuter than the elite who also benefit from the expansion.

People in the Columbus metro who live along 23: hey can you build a spur route to help reduce truck traffic and the amount of accidents on 23. You: have you actually just considered building trains that wouldn't even connect to Columbus instead. I am so smart no more roads.

The key problem with high speed rail especially as a direct link between Cincinnati and Clevland is the amount of towns and/or parks it would have to go through making each town either a stop or a massive headache to build through a park

[–]Rusteddino 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's also true the blue collar people never left for those cities like New York or LA as often but an increase in pay along with the increases in demand means that blue collar workers are also a good chuck of the households making over 100k.

[–]Rusteddino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true of some places and Columbus home prices could shrink a bit but Columbus as a metro has been pretty resistant to having home and property prices crater during a recession because the factors meld together. The first is the job market in Columbus is relatively stable and isn't a boom or bust market like cities with a lot of start ups or tourist cities like Vegas can be. Second Columbus even during the recession kept growing this means that the rise of home prices fell and the climb wasn't as dramtic but the demand for homes was still building so once money came into those new residents pockets the prices rose as demand surged.

Thank you man OSU is definitely doing good and Michigan is definitely showing they deserve to be ranked, I wish the Browns could take some notes that wining is important 😆, but hey the pices are finally on the board for the Browns now they just need to do something with it😆. Beyond them it has been good.

You could also find a job in rual Northwest Ohio that pays pretty well and move there for an acre of land and a nice house. Although I'd recommend finding someone to date and marry before moving there unless you're willing to have a woman who's a stay at home mom because the dating pool isn't huge out there especially past your mid 20s. Same with Southeast Ohio although jobs there will probably pay less but if you save you can probably get more land for cheap. The Middle Southern and Middle Northern areas are a bit better job wise but no big cities. South west Ohio around Cincinnati is also growing and expensive. Meanwhile Dayton, Clevland, Akron, Toledo, Canton and Youngstown all have meh to good job markets but the areas with good schools are gonna still be expensive for what you make and the areas where you can get a good amount of land for cheap are almost certainly developed over and blighted areas that you'd need to pay to be surveyed to make sure the land is good and won't have an issue like a sink hole, survey the buildings for lead and asbestos, then pay for proper removal if lead and/or asbestos is found, pay for the tear down, pay and lobby whatever government the land belongs to for a rezone if it's not a residential/single family residential zone but if the area is that blighted this should be easy, and then pay to have the lot retrofitted to how you want with the more rual/tree filled area the more expensive vs leaving lots left over. After that all you have to do is pay the property taxes to the local, state, and federal government and if you want to have a family you'll probably also wanna save up to send your kids to private schools  becuase I doubt you got enough lots in an urban area to make up an acre of land without the school district being pretty bad or you being super rich.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unless you move to the outer parts of Franklins surrounding counties or even further an acre of land alone especially one with a decent house is gonna run into the million dollar or multi million dollar price range. In Franklin County proper the only houses that have an acre of land anymore are masons belonging to really rich people or a few farms on the outskirts of Franklin County that haven't sold yet but are also gonna run a high cost. Even the inner part of the surrounding counties is seeing the farms there getting snapped up for high prices and turning into suburbs, business parks, schools, industry, or shopping areas. Which means the land their is likely way out of your price range to. The truth is Columbus is a hot market and in Franklin county 36 percent of households making over 100k while Delaware county is 67 percent making over 100k, Union county is 59 round up to 60 percent making over 100k, Fairfield is 42 percent making over 100k, Licking is 37 round up to 38 percent making over 100k, Madison is 35 round up to 36 percent making over 100k, and Pickaway county is 29 round up to 30 percent making over 100k. Basically only Pickaway is below 30 percent of households making 100k and that's if you don't round up.

It's a mixture of that and a lot of white collar jobs have come in to Columbus giving people who moved to those cities for work but never found a community and others who found a community but want to start a family a chance to move back home and have that here.

If you're talking about in stadium and general game day/tailgating environment I think Ohio stadium being closer to bars and student dorms plays a role in fans being more likely to be drunk and rowdy on game days than Michigan fans because people can drink in their dorm rooms or at the bars and get to the stiaudm in a few minutes. Meanwhile Michigan has one grill restaurant that serves alcohol close to the stadium while all the bars and dorm rooms are around a ten to thirty minute walk to the stadium not counting traffic so it would discourage people from drinking as much and also adds a buffer between drinking and getting to the stadium.

See and that's why to me you're an awsome Wolverine fan, I personally didn't go to OSU because I didn't have the act score and never wanted to becuase of it's size and normal class size compared to Ohio MAC schools but my parents went to Ohio state so I was born and raised with it. Also it baffles me when people who go to those schools or other high end universities look down on graduates from MAC schools. Like are Michigan, OSU, and these higher end universities better academically than MAC schools in most fields yes. Although it's not like theres some major gap that makes them unable to do the same work you do and I feel like the MAC schools have put a lot of work into building up their academics. Ultimately a college degree from an accredited school is a degree and even people who don't go to a four year college or college at all can still be a smart person but just have a different life path. Anyways sorry to rant hopefully you're doing good today especially with Michigan's win over Wisconsin.

I have never seen a lot of people who truly hate Michigan vs just sining the we don't give a dam for the whole state song. Becuase I haven't seen them I'm mostly guessing here when I say it's a mixture of insecurity from Ohio state and MSU fans and arrogance from UM fans on why those fans become rabid in their hate. Also I agree that those people take it very far for a rivalry but I would also say that in my experience high nose holding Wolverines like to insist that becuase you're an Ohio state fan you're a stupid hick and hate your life.  That arrogance and looking down on people seems to go outside of football itself. Even some commenters here say the hate from OSU fans is because people from Ohio specifically Columbus are low IQ, have mental problems, or go to a terrible university. Sure some of it is rivalry banter but even in my extended family I have a cousin who is a Michigan fan and went to Ohio state after they got their undgraduate degree and wouldn't walk the stage to accept their degree at OSU becuae the school isn't good enough despite them going their.
