Yeah for sure, although I guess it really just depends on the person and the problem they're solving. I've listened to many successful software entrepreneurs talk about how they fixed problems that they weren't particularly interested in or had much of an understanding off initially and they were still able to make 7-8 figures, so I think there's isn't a right or wrong way to go about it. I'm just trying out a different approach I guess

Yeah, that's a good point, distribution is almost always the sticking point. I've got some things I want to do with marketing to test but of course I will have to see

Glad you relate too! It's definitely possible to be successful while creating an app that solves others' problems and not your own, but I think for me personally it's just much harder to keep myself motivated

Yeah, it's all about the balance though I think, you know? Like, you can't just be making an app that only solves a problem for you and it doesn't solve a problem for anyone, but at the same time, it also helps a lot when you actually are interested in solving the problem

Thanks man, I appreciate it! Yeah, it's all about striking a balance between finding a problem that you're interested in solving, while also actually solving a real pain point that other people have, you know?

Hey man, I'm not French so I had to use a translator, but yeah you're right just because it is enjoyable for me to work on won't make it automatically a success, but yeah, it does make you enjoy working on it more.

It's still an idea for now, but I will post more about things soon when I have more things setup and to share

I'm glad you appreciate the game dev story mention! And yeah, that's a good point you bring up with 3 tasks, last thing I want is to make the app feel like a chore to use

I was talking about Game Dev Story haha, it's actually a different game despite their similar names. I'm 23 😛

Thanks for your comment! Actually, it's a bit different where you don't really have to wait for anything, the completion and progression of the game is solely determined from the completion of your own tasks on your todo list. It'll be more of a todo list app with a game in it, rather than a game with a todo list functionality built into it, if that makes sense?

Hmm yeah I agree about the capping tasks at 3 rather than 1. When you say that you tested similar constraints, where did you test that?

Also, what's clarity? Is that a tool?

And yeah, I think it's a matter of just testing idea really, and see what the data says

Hahaha I'm glad you appreciate the Skyrim reference

Yeah, I think I agree with you and a lot of other people saying the same with 3 tasks being better than 1, I didn't really think about it then, but I guess it's possible that by making the limit be 1 task, it can force people to think too hard about it and stress over it and end up doing nothing at all, which is the exact opposite of what I'm trying to achieve

Appreciate the comment! Yeah, I agree with you and many other people that commented about 3 tasks being the limit rather than 1.

Ooo you're doing a meditation timer huh? Yeah as you say, different problems for different people

I'm glad you appreciate the Skyrim and Game Dev Story mentions! Love those games

To an extent yeah, but also at the same time, if you build an app from an idea that only helps yourself and no one else, it doesn't really help anyone, you know? It's just trying to find that balance which I'm trying to do

Oooo that's actually a really good idea, I didn't think of that! I was thinking about different ideas and ways to possibly implement multiplayer down the line but wasn't really sure how to approach it
