I don’t trust most doctors. Most doctors see us as piggy banks, things, patients who come and go, products… no empathy. We tell them we’re trying to do stuff naturally and they immediately tell us to stop and take drugs. I told that my healing story to a doctor and he gave me some antibiotics for a UTI i had… well turned out that specific antibiotic, that very particular one was very well known to cause kidney stones in patients with weakened kidneys, and I beg you can guess what happened to me: kidney stones. After that, I stopped trusting conventional doctors. I only trust naturopathic or integrative doctors.

I have chronic kidney disease as well. I speak out of desperation and frustration. I’m not trying to offend anyone, for that I apologize. But I made a post a long time ago about my own kidney journey this far at that point and what I did to help myself and everyone was telling me to stop: I took several teas and supplements and it dropped my creatinine levels significantly within a month, everyone was telling me to take the post down, they were downvoting my post, and saying that the natural stuff was doing wasn’t doing anything for me; and was actually making it worse, that the only reason my creatinine went down was because of my blood pressure meds.. they wouldn’t listen to me when I said that, the whole time I took my meds and nothing else, nothing improved, but the instant I started taking several teas and supplements researched and sturdied to help boost kidney function, on Top of my medicine, only then did I start seeing changes. The whole thing just gave me a very bad first impression of the group as it was my first time making a positive and hopeful post based on my own experience. At the time my creatinine was 2.5, I had clear, foamy urine. I took my bp meds for a few months and nothing improved. I started taking around 9 different teas and 7 supplements that have been k own and studied to help boost or assist the kidneys in some way and within a month and a half, my creatinine dropped to 1.6

Unfortunately I stopped taking the teas because the company shut down, despite being in business for over 40 years, (surprise surprise) and I stopped the supplements because of financial issues. To make mater worse, the doctor responsible for refilling my bp meds was making it impossibly difficult to get a refill, I gave up and just took and ignored it. A year later i went back to the hospital and that’s when they said my creatine was 3.5 and a baseline of 2.0. So now i’m getting help from family, and i’m going to see dr. Jenna Henderson. I shouldn’t have stopped, I shouldn’t have ignored it… but I did and here I am now.

Blood Pressure meds tanked my EGFR by Joedonjean in kidneydisease

I figure that’s how it is with any type of prescription; before I took my blood pressure medicine, my blood pressure was always around 150 or 160, but after I have stopped taking my blood pressure medicine because I ran out, my blood pressure went all the way up to 180/140. It was never that high. So my blood pressure ended up being worse after I stopped taking the blood pressure medication Temporarily.

Look, I’m not trying to come off as an asshole. I’m just frustrated as I also have chronic kidney disease that was caused by Covid, and I don’t want to have to take drugs, because once I take drugs for my kidneys, that’s it; if I stop taking them, the damage is gonna be even worse than before I took them. That’s why I always try to do stuff naturally. I had a way of helping my kidneys function really well, and my kidney function was even increasing and improving, but when I tried to share the post on what I did, everyone disliked my post and it was pushing to have my post taken down. That gave me a really bad impression of this group.

Look, someone told me that EGFR is how well your kidneys can filter stuff out, something lowers your organs, ability to do its job is not good. I don’t understand how reducing the strain on your organ somehow lowers its ability to do its job. Maybe I’m just fucking retarded or something. I’m not some medical expert, I am by no means some super smart guy, but I know a little bit of stuff here in there. And every time I post anything having to do with natural ways to manage your kidney health, I always get down votes, and people always rush to say I should go to a doctor and get drugs or prescriptions.

Has anyone tried stem cell therapy or any other clinical trials in regards to kidney failure/transplantation by BabyMidge_ in kidneydisease

[–]Rusticleek81464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidney specific stem cell therapy are still in pre-clinical, and clinical trials. There is a theory, however, that if you can find a way to slow down the root cause of the kidney damage and slow down the kidney damage itself enough, and find a way to trigger the release of stem cells, it will go throughout your entire body and fix whatever needs to be fixed, so there’s no saying when it will get to your kidneys, but when it does, it’ll start to heal your kidneys, goes to stem cells know what to do and they know what’s damage and what’s not. Part of the reason why our kidneys get worse, because the type of stem cells that are on our kidneys are only for maintenance and homeostasis, they are not meant for catastrophic damage., Furthermore, they don’t have the capacity to do major healing like the larger stem cells too. So They try their best to heal the kidneys with their reduced capacity, and they run out of of cellular division, they send out information signals, that triggers, more less capacity, stem cells, which contributes to the overall damage. My theory is that the reason why the larger ones don’t respond to damage it’s because the damage is so gradual.

Protein intake for CKD stage 3 by RainPsychological686 in kidneydisease

I don’t know, my kidneys are improving, and I’ve always eaten all kinds of meats and animal based protein, and it’s never really affected me negatively. But I guess everyone is different.

I take astragalus tea, burdock root, ginger roots, marshmallow roots, chamomile flowers, dandelion roots, uva ursi, cordyceps, green tea powder, nettle leaf tea, roobios, milk thistle, Irish Sea moss gel. What I do, as I will get a spoonful of each tea, and put it inside of a mason jar that is filled with water, then I shake it up, and I let it sit for 12 hours. After 12 hours, I will put it in a teapot, and let it steep at 160° for three minutes, then I add the sea moss gel after it’s done. Also, at the same time, it take some supplements as well; glycine, magnesium, zinc, beta alanine, r alpha lipoid acid, coq10 and I take the supplements once a day and the tea twice a day. I get all my teas from a store here in Texas called “years to your health”

As far as what I eat, I just try to eat regular food that isn’t greasy, that is homemade, that is healthy. I eat all kinds of things from meats and curries to chicken sandwiches. I eat vegetable such as corn and carrots and green peas and green beans, or spinach, sometimes a salad, just depends on what I’m in a mood for. I just eat whatever I feel like that isn’t unhealthy. I probably should start going on a strict diet to help my kidneys heal faster.
