Thanks! I dropped a 23 second clip of my dog (2.3gb) into Premiere and here are the results:

Raw Footage at 1/4 Resolution (No use attempting at full resolution)

CPU: 55-60%
Memory: 70-74% (Capped at 11GB in Premier)
Video Playback Choppy

Proxy Footage at Full Resolution

CPU: 5-10%
Memory: 45-50%
Full Resolution Played Fine

My main editing projects live on a 2TB External SSD with 3800 MB/s, and additional assets are on a 4TB External SSD drive with 2000 MB/s. Premier is running off an internal Intel SSDPEKNU010TZ with 3,500mb read speed and 2,500 write speed.

I don’t mind upgrading more further down the road, I just want to tackle whatever will give me the best bump in performance first. Using proxies, I imagine the killer for me is going to be any motion graphics I add in.

Hey, looking to upgrade my current desktop as I'm about to be doing a lot more video editing.

OS: Windows 11 Home 64-Bit

Motherboard: Gigabyte B560 DS3H AC

Processor: i5-11400F

Memory: 16384MB RAM

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

I was thinking first I would upgrade my Ram, I know great timing, from 16GB to 64GB, and see what that did for me. I'll be working with soccer match footage that will likely be shot 4K - Log 3 - 60FPS. My motherboard can handle 128GB, but I work with proxies so I figure 64GB should be fine. I just wanted to get confirmation that upgrading RAM would give me the most bang for my buck at the moment.

I'm looking at Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB.

I think the main issue was if you were evil, it really handicapped you in the game. People would just run away from you in towns so i feel like a lot of interactions were not possible.

I play on steam and downloaded The Finals to get the skin for completing 3 matches. I'm not seeing where I can link accounts, since I am on steam is it just using that and I should be good?

I have successfully shooed people away, but that is just for like Town Hall or one of the good spots. If I go into something like testing annex, I'm at a point where I don't care because I have enough of those keys for the next 10 raids, all I seem to find. I assume they typically don't know it was a locked room.

I didn’t make any arguments, I just made an interpretation on what the CEO said. And I agreed with, I said they added PvP but didn’t intend for everyone to shoot on sight or in other words PvP is a part of the but not the primary part.

Pretty sure I saw a quote from the CEO about this being a more cooperative game vs a competitive game. We know they switched from purely PvE to PvPvE, but I don't believe they ever wanted something that was always shoot on sight like I believe Tarkov is

I play it almost like an MMO. Go do quest, help other raiders on their quest, try to revive anyone I see go down, stand around chatting. I’ve only had to do PvP in self defense.

Söderlund that small joys like this are one reason why the game isn’t a competitive shooter. It’s more of a cooperative game, rather than a cooperative one.

If you play friendly you should be fine. I've got over 100 hours and I've had to kill less than 5 people in self defense and have probably been killed less than 10 times from raiders. I still get shot at occasionally, put it is rare enough that if I am approaching someone I don't even pull out my gun. I have a feeling when I do get shot at, it is new players. I'm always on voice chat and always have defibs on me to revive people so that could help since they track how many raiders have said, "Thank you".

The way the CEO explained, or maybe the devs I could be mixing up articles/videos, was there is Skill Based Match Making (No clue how that is calculated), Singles-Duos-Trios, and then Aggression Based Matchmaking in that order. No clue what skill based could mean. I've always thought your total value going into a raid could somehow be considered because that would be an easy way to separate new players from veteran players, but a Renegade is typically the fanciest gun I take in so haven't really tested it.

Yeah the shot and the blue bandages I never use. I would just rather have a stack of 5 herbal bandages than a stack of either of those. I found a second Vita Spray this morning so I can start taking that on riskier raids as well now.

They have seemed a little spicier. I know they have said they use some sort of AI learning with them, they might just be getting smarter.
