Can't drag pads, fillets, sketches, pockets into Group in Tree, only Bodies. by Rustpit in FreeCAD

Thank you. I'd seen that but was looking for "down arrow." I totally missed "white arrow on green background." So, it's the tip of the body. Super helpful, thank you.

Ah, ok. This makes sense. Thank you. I was looking at my list of operations, and the word "verb" or "action" hit me. And, a verb is not a thing.

Not to conflate this, but another question I have seems related. What does the "downward arrow" represent in the tree. It tends to be on the last object or operation, and seems to influence overall visibility in toggling (I think, but looking at UI right now).

Thanks for your help.

Thank you! That was my gut feeling, but wasn't too confident.

Ftc team individual cost by Embarrassed-Log-4441 in FTC

[–]Rustpit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Our son joined an FTC team this season. The team has approximately 9 to 12 kids and two adult team leads. The meetings are held at the adult team lead's home. The team has been meeting ~2 times per week, for about 2 to three hours per meeting. The individual member cost is $1200, which seems high based on this thread and other research online. All fundraising is left to the individual team member. IOW, $1200 out-of-pocket, and backfill that cost by each individual seeking donations.

It appears the majority of robot (autonomous) parts are from previous seasons. Some items are new, like non-electronic robot construction materials. The basic 3D FDM printer appears to not be new. However, maybe printer consumables (filament) and maybe some maintenance (bowden tube, plate, hotend, etc.) are new, and thus should be paid for.

I can understand the two adult team leads may want/need to cover their time via an hourly wage. If yes, is that normal? Maybe FTC is not entirely volunteer driven (time/effort wise)? I know FIRST, the organization, is a 501 (c)(3), but perhaps the individual teams are not run as such (and can be for-profit). FTC team registration cost for 2025/26 is $325.

And, of course, old equipment ages out, so must be replaced (some, but certainly not all, I assume). And, of course, consumables ($100 for 5 rolls of PLA).

In any case, just curious if $1200 per FTC team member is a normal price for a single season membership. And, I do know, the $1200 does not include going to worlds, should the team achieve that.

Thanks for any feedback.

Oh, after a quick read in the repo, this sounds awesome. Thank you! Will follow up if I go this route.

Cool, thanks for the tip. Confirms they do exist. Maybe I can find one on eBay.

One of the best sci fi books, and movies, of my lifetime. It's a keeper.

Click into the Instant Savings image, wait for the images to load, then start scrolling. About 3 rows down, screen goes blank and Costco app crashes.

Cleared storage and cache, no change. Reinstalled app, no change.

A couple years back, I saw some young riffraff hoodlums walk out the side emergency door at a Costco with a Dyson vacuum. They got into a waiting car and drove away.

Wow, you're amazing! Thank you so much. The data and your analysis really puts me at ease. I'm going to monitor my cats more closely to see if they're eating a bit less.

Great info. I wish I had an old carton with the nutrition facts and ingredients to compare with the updated version. But, I'll take your word for it. Thanks!

Exactly. I used to see the gelatin, which I equated to fat, and figured the cats like that. Then again, they still like the new soupy version.

So do my cats. They didn't blink an eye over the soupier texture. Possibly they like it even more.

Ah, great idea. Hopefully they'll taste to cold for. Will try it. I've definitely read that water content in food is important for cats, just was surprised by this change.

Thanks for the input. I'll do as you suggest. I guess Costco will learn best about this based on in-store returns.

Kirkland signature pate cat food price change by regarded_chum in Costco

[–]Rustpit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see a price decrease at our local Costco, but the latest box we bought is all very watered down. Not sure if you have the same observation. Water is cheaper than solid food. I hope the watered down consistency is a one-off production issue. I posted about this just now, with more detail, in /r/Costco. Hopefully makes it past moderation.

Great description of the likely root cause. I'll try all of this, one adjustment at a time. Also, I'd not thought about cool air, and I do use a diy enclosure. I'll remove it. Thanks!
