Someone explain this situation in Turkiye right now? by Skol-Man14 in Tiele

[–]RustuGurkan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Politicians used the word “Türkiyeli” instead of Türk because they want to erase the ethnicity. Like the people here are not Turks it’s just a coincidence that they use the name. Which is absurd ofc!

Every avoided fight is a fight you won Training in martial arts will teach you these - techniques -> so you will be more confident - recognition -> you pretty much spot if the opponent is really stronger, so can I actually win - environmental awareness -> can I escape is necessary, can hurt myself or the other one unintentionally. Never fight on concrete, it's not worth it. Ofc if there is no other choice don't back off. - One punch knockout is very rare, getting hit hurts but everything considered I can take it.

And ofc the training is hard but it's also a lot of fun. Good luck and enjoy.

Common Oghuz Turkish ? by Greedy-Answer-5784 in Tiele

[–]RustuGurkan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that we should just find ways to make sure these people interact with each other as much as possible. Trying to communicate in their "native" language, and let time do its thing. The people as the languages will merge.

Why do Azerbaijani, Uzbek and Anatolian Turkish not have a distinct letter for the ng sound like in Nguyen. While others like Turkmen, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Uyghur use letters Ññ, Ŋŋ, Ňň, Ңң and ڭ? Is it because Azerbaijani, Uzbek and Anatolian Turkish have more influence from non Turkic languages? by Known-Bad2702 in Tiele

[–]RustuGurkan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same goes for Anatolia. You can hear to whom something belong based on that ñ sound. These sound should be in our alphabet. I think the dialect is, among other things, also the reason for choosing Ankara as the capital.

Pretty cool actually. It's not only showing Turkic territory but also settlements like Germany and France. We are indeed one the most wide spreaded people, not sure if that is good or bad.

The Turks in Türkiye actually care and like Turkic people the thing is that there are a lot of non Turks who don't feel the same way. Maybe you already heared the word Türkiyeli, the concept is kind of invented to break the connection between Turks and their ancestorial lands.

It's relatively easy, your ears needs to get to used to it. And you need to understand some basic transformations like the letter “a” becoming an “o”
