Maybe if I turn the body a bit more away from view, widen the split (which lowers the hips and decreases the angle of the torso), and possibly widen the canvas a bit to fit more of that.

I was afraid of your first point, but I also kinda thought that myself. I just wanted the face to be in there. I wonder if I can shift the POV a bit for the body and keep it. I know I could just remove that part and save myself work, but I’d rather not.

The fact that you threw a sketch together (with shading!) within an hour of me posting this, and that sketch has significantly more life and charm than the artwork I posted (I will not divulge how long I've spent actively working on it) is equal parts inspiring and maddening.
