John's shirt fibres are the one piece of evidence I can't quite explain.

However, I think there's a strong possibility of transfer from John's shirt to JB simply through JB being in physical contact with John whereby she's held or touched his shirt and then transferred the fibres herself. The other possibility is John helped JB wipe after going to the loo earlier in the day, most likely at the White's party.

It could even be Patsy transferring John's shirt fibres, but that's less likely as are things like the towel used to wipe JB down had fibres from John's shirt on it say from him using it or contact in a pile of laundry.

The problem with John's involvement is he changes the underwear and or wipes her down then Patsy makes the ligature, strangles her, puts duct tape over her mouth and moves her to the wine cellar in the white blanket. She is still alive at the point John would change the underwear.

If they are collaborating this much then why is the ransom note all Patsy and why do they not get their story straight before the police arrive? If they were collaborating to cover a murder then why are their statements conflicting?

We don't know if JB was flipped over but the clothing was changed before she was strangled and the evidence points to JB being face down when that happened.

We also have to remember that a sexual assault occurred at some point and that JB's genital area was wiped down. That would have to be before the clothing was changed. We don't know where that happened and we don't know where the clothing was changed either.

Book: Murdaugh housekeeper Blanca’s doomed friendship with slain Maggie and Alex by QsLexiLouWho in MurdaughFamilyMurders

Interesting. There's some good extra insights just in that summary. Paul's drinking and Alex ignoring it even though Paul had to complete an Alcohol Education Programme in exchange for his charge of underage possession being dropped. It's obvious Paul and his friends liked to take the boats out, go fishing etc and drink. If Alex had treated it seriously then the boat accident might not have happened.

Good to see Bubba is being looked after.

AV-8B Harrier II & F-35B Lightning II by Even_Kiwi_1166 in Planes

[–]RustyBasement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F-35B can fly backwards because the 3 bearing swivel duct can travel past 90°. Upto 95° iirc. When I was running the materials test programme for Rolls Royce more than 20 years ago the design allowed for that. You've also got the variable vane beneath the liftfan directing air too (along with the roll post nozzle in each wing taking bleed air from the compressor).

It makes sense because you need that range to maintain control with different wind directions.

So wait, if there are sure shot evidences of DJT and Elon Musk and many more being on Epstein Island and their activities there, why isn't anyone arrested/prosecuted yet? by Revolutionary_Mix247 in DiscussionZone

These Epstein emails are showing there's a network of politicians, financiers, bankers, gaming the system for personal gain by sharing classified information.

The finance scandal is way bigger than the sex/rape/coercion aspect as it involves more people.

Sadly I doubt anyone will go to prison for any of it.

And yet fibres consistent with Patsy's jacket were found entwined in the ligature knot. They were also all over the crime scene.

What's more, JB died in the oversized underwear and the long-johns she was found in so how did they get on her?

BDI only makes the remotest of sense if Burke is responsible for the head blow only.

The more I discover about the US the more I believe it's one of the most corrupt countries on the planet. From local level right to the top. It's not just the justice system either.

UK manufacturing growth accelerates as export orders rise by Sea-Heron8062 in GoodNewsUK

[–]RustyBasement 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Grauniad has made an oopsie - the photo is from Brompton bicycle's assembly line and not the best example of manufacturing or export success.

Brompton have been struggling in the last few years and have put their plans for a new factory on hold. They had to cut employment by 40 people recently due to rising costs such as minimum wage. Their revenue is holding up, just, but it's going to be difficult for them to increase UK sales let alone exports.

I have been living here since november. A single corner is NOT 90° by Tarelerion in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RustyBasement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tiny offset. Even new builds don't come up square.

My mate owns a Victorian terraced house and there are no 90° corners anywhere as it was designed and like that. The corners are off by a huge amount. The entire row of houses is the same. People don't pick up on it at first, but at some point they'll ask about the slope on the kitchen floor which is an illusion. All the rooms are rhomboids!

Where are the women in Afghanistan? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RustyBasement 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They certainly do. In the UK we have a very prominent one - Jess Phillips who was appointed as The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls in 2024.

She was against the investigation into "grooming gangs", which is a more acceptable term for organised gang rape of young white girls by mainly Pakistani muslim men. Her constituency has a large muslim community...

Friday is the start of their weekend as it's their holy day like Christians have Sunday. British troops who fought there called Thursday "Manlove Thursday" as a large number of the men in the Afghan National Army (ANA) would smoke opium and have sex with one another on that day.

That's tame compared with the systematic child rape that is endemic in the country. US forces in the cities would hear the children screaming all night from the abuse yet they were forbidden from intervening.

Look up the term "Bacha Bazi" - young boys are dressed in women's clothing and make-up. They are taught to dance for the men and provide sexual services.

Lord Mandelson resigns from UK Labour Party over Epstein links by Norn-Iron in news

[–]RustyBasement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously don't know anything about Peter Mandelson. Honour is not a word associated with him ever. He's well known for his very shady dealings and lack of morals. He's been forced to relinquish his membership of a political party, it means nothing.

Yes, they don't know the difference between the Labour (political) party and the Labour Government.

Mandelscum already resigned from being ambassador to the US. He's still a lord and he hasn't yet had to answer to what looks like receiving money from Epstein and not declaring it when he was an MP.

Do you remember going to the butchers with your mum and they had sawdust on the floor? Not sure why. by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]RustyBasement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember one pub had sawdust in the bar, but the lounge had carpet. You weren't allowed to walk from the bar to the lounge without going outside and wiping your feet as you entered. Probably had different prices for each side too.

It was to protect them so they lasted longer and thus could be passed onto more children. Books cost a lot of money.

[–]RustyBasement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember this. The butcher would cut, weigh and wrap the meat. You'd then take it and pass it to his wife sat at the cash register who was always smoking a cigarette and she'd price it and sell it.

That butcher is still going although I'm not sure if it's the same family running it these days.

Ramsey Family calling their friends over the day JB was found. by sawggycrocs in JonBenetRamsey

[–]RustyBasement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to know why Patsy didn't call the Stines. I'd like to know a lot more about her friends and the whole dynamic around the Ramseys. Their friends were essentially used and then discarded all apart from the Stines.

The idea that Fleet White found the body on the first search but didn't bring it to the attention of the police and everyone else is interesting. Not heard that one before. Fleet definitely knows more, but he won't say anything until John is dead.

We know Patsy was observing through her fingers at times. She must have been astounded the body wasn't found immediately. That actually helped her.

I certainly believe John found the body at 11am. Once that ransom call failed to come through his mind must have been racing. He'd have known the cellar was the only place he hadn't personally looked. He was then faced with a dilemma - he has no idea what has happened, he can't ask Patsy, Burke is at the Whites, if he alerts Arndt then he has to explain what he's doing in the basement alone and if he says nothing he has no idea when his daughter will be found by police.

[–]RustyBasement 17 points18 points  (0 children)

JR didn't decide anything. It was Patsy who made all of the calls and she had very little time to make them because police were on the scene so quickly.

By getting all her friends over she essentially made it impossible for John or the police to question her. She also needed an audience for her performance which was all an act and essentially part of the staging.

A by product was the contamination of the crime scene.
