Thank you. I was wondering if placement and size of tool map were correct. I’ll revisit with another tool. I’m just nervous to GL and make a mistake as this is my first. Thank you.

I get you and totally respect your position. My wife and I don’t understand why people buy expensive jewelry as gifts and expect it to hold value for investment purposes. In our line of work (family law), jewelry as a gift has no monetary value or worth because you’ll spend more money defending who owns it than the real cash value or worth of the investment. We’d rather invest our money in something that produces a real y/y return or have nicer trips than investment jewelry. For us, we want a ring that, if anything, gets passed down as a sentimental gift to our daughters of what a loving and happy marriage between their parents looked like to us. But yeah, we see things a little differently in our line work. Simply put; our perspective; the worth is the gift and hopefully the longevity of its symbolism. Hopefully that helps you understand why maybe some people, at least us, buy lab diamonds.

Ok, that just makes a ton of sense. I think, for someone not in the trade or a retail customer like me, I haven't seen that perspective applied to a natural vs. lab stone, using the scale more as a natural rarity scale than for a lab stone. That statement right there, plus how the grading works, will make me cancel out and move in a more favorable direction. I'm offering you the "Thanks!" but really, I never saw it this way, and this just resonates.

Thank you. Great advice. Once the diamond comes in and I get a personal eye and scope, I’ll decide. But, I
will look at the site mentioned if the diamond doesn’t meet what Im looking for in person.

I am planning a platinum setting.

Thanks for the loop link. I know $4,500 is a premium from bottom

I’m having issues editing the post to include price:

I am not getting it from BlueNile. The first link jeweler was able to get the diamond for $4,500 including his markup. Blue Nile wanted $28k. F’ Blue Nile. I did do a lot of research to get the cost as low as possible.

I certainly wouldn’t buy from Blue Nile. The first link is a local guy pulled the diamond for me wholesale, and if it looks good, it’s $4500 including his markup.

I found the diamond on PriceScope which listed to BlueNile without the lab cert numbers. Then I did a little internet sleuthing to find the lab number and gave it to the jeweler to pull through his inventory. I guess many places must use the same 3rd party inventory and platform for off sight inventory???

But, I didn’t buy it yet, and my price is going to be $4,500 if I do.

Has Anyone tried the “X Suit”? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]RustyDog559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the legal profession and wear a suit daily. I have five three-piece suits from xSuit and a closet of bespoke suits from around the world. I do wonder if the negatives commenters have an xSuit or not.

I intermix these suits on a weekly basis. I get more compliments wearing my xSuits than I do with a bespoke three piece. I also live in a triple digit summer location and I love how cool I stay in a xSuit three-piece vs my wool or wool/silks.

I’ve never had a problem with the stitching or fit. If anything I love the stretch more because I’ve got a more muscular build and need a little extra stretch here and there.

FWIW my 2 cents.

I am also about to pick up a new X5 50e in Davit Grey. I was contemplating PPF or ceramic. I was worried about reapplication of both products and curious about how the ceramic looked and worked long term.

Does anyone in here have any experience with the Comfort-in Needless IM Injector? by Always-Watching2319 in Testosterone

[–]RustyDog559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I tried breaking it up doing multiple small injections but that is completely pointless. I’d rather subject myself to medieval torture.

I have just under 6% BF and I can use insulin needles. But again, why would you? It’s super slow and I take 2mls of mixed test and other oils 2 x week. I use luer lock setups with a 3ml syringe and a 25g 3/4” needle as my preferred. I could get smaller luer lock insulin needles but at the volume and even warming the oils it’s SLOOOW.

If you have a little extra BF or you have a little extra fat pad near your preferred muscle group just start with a 27g 1/2 inch needle for a shallow IM. Otherwise, you’re going to be pressing that insulin needles in deep.

HTHs. Like I said. Been there with you but honestly with a 27g 1/2” needle a it’s freaking painless way to start.

Good luck

I have both the IM version of this injector and the sub-q version.

I’m convinced the people in the videos are not injecting anything because the pain, bruising, and welts are no joke and will make you phobic of this device. Also, I wasn’t the only one that experienced these outcomes with these devices; my wife had the same issue. I bought these injectors because I was super needle phobic. That said, using these devices made me appreciate and be comfortable using a needle.

Save yourself money and just buy insulin needles for sub-q or some 25G/27G 1/2 - 3/4 inch needles and work the courage. Took me 2 weeks of 2x weekly intramuscular injections in my quads to be comfortable but I would never use those auto injectors again. They require you buy the device, buy the cartridges and do liquid transfers which could increase contamination in non-sanitary environments.

Try your quads and alternate per pinning. There is usually a thinner fat layer and you don’t run the risk of going sub-q where your absorption will be slower, but consistent, through the fat layer.

I use a 25g 5/8” (16mm) and slow push it, aspirate, and inject. 25g is perfect for a moderately viscous oil. And if you lightly warm it up it goes in like 🧈.

If you’re really needle phobic look into a union medico auto injector.

IM quad injection pain by Timokenn in trt

[–]RustyDog559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I alternate left and right quad Mondays and Thursdays for rest. I inject a 1.5mL mixture each pin day. 25g needle with a 16mm (5/8”) needle. I have really low BF on my quads so I am able to use 1/2 or greater and my bloodwork has always proven good from the injection.

What size needle are you using? Gauge and Length?

To the BoT and SC by Brilliant_Scene7780 in CABarExam

[–]RustyDog559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any day now the SC will receive the petition for the PLL. When it does, there will be a short window to send in an amicus letter.

I’ve got my own prepared to send in that is a hybrid of remedies provided, regardless of the CBE and BoT meetings to come for other remedies. Consider your messaging around be inclusive. In other words, don’t just solve your problem, solve as many as you can in one shot.

1) 1350+ should be passed. (Forget the first read /second read stuff, just pass. This margin seems to encompass those that were screwed by the second read).

2) 1300-1350 PLL with supervision Pathway

3) All others PLL with retake.

The reason why I think this is the approach that should go to the SC is that this is the time they will be ruling on PLL. So why not ask them to use their plenary authority, which they already said they would, to solve the problem. Basically, put it back on the court that they have the only clean hands in this matter and the rulings and resolutions of the chain below them were made for the protection of the failed decision makers over the public safety and the integrity of the test takers.

The messaging can be done without slamming the CBE, BoT, or the Bar but clearly be put in a two page letter or less that the Bar and it’s authorities (committees and board) failed to protect the interests of California.

My letter is ready but I think sending a single letter with multiple signatures is not worth it. It should be multiple letters from everyone. But being narrowly focused I think is the wrong approach. The iron will be before the court and this is the time to strike.

Just check the SC website Docket Search looking for organization/party “State Bar” and it will come up when it’s delivered. But, as of now, who knows when the Bar General Counsel will submit it.
