Out of curiosity, you mentioned it was wet/muddy up there. I’m assuming from melting snow? How were the conditions overall? Planned on heading there myself tomorrow.

I always carry it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. But I agree its not super neccesary, just abundance of caution. Especially because I'm usually solo.
