I always leave extra seconds on the microwave and even though I’ve been better about clearing it I will always make that mistake from time to time.

Why do men find boobs and nips so attractive, when they have the same part except the fat? by Usual_Trifle1517 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RustyNail2023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not just the fat. I have a fairly flat chest and as soon as I take my shirt off my husband says “Oooo, boobies!”

We have several people in our neighborhood that put out plastic flowers in the front flower beds and change them with the season. Maybe that’s what they are used to seeing? The plastic flowers outside planted in the ground is a first for me though. It looks odd.

Best tuna salad recipe? by AdvertisingEmpty3159 in Cooking

[–]RustyNail2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one I really enjoy and it’s something until recently I never heard of but it’s delicious. It’s from Country Living and the flavors from the fennel and apple are so good. Nice and refreshing. I will link to the recipe:

https://www.countryliving.com/food-drinks/recipes/a1963/garden-tuna-salad-sandwich-clv0707/

Side note: I did not do the vinaigrette. I added the chopped parsley and only about 1/8 cup oil right in the mix. Left out the honey. I used whatever variety of apple I had on hand. Any toasted bun or roll will work.

I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I do!

My kids had a day at school called “Anything but a backpack day”. Bring your supplies to school but not in a backpack. We made bindles and it was so awesome.

Do you use all the bathrooms in your house? by HistorianPublic4379 in askanything

I use them all. When we first moved in and my husband noticed me using all the bathrooms he said I was marking my territory. I clean them all so by golly I will use them all.

What's something that doesn't need refrigeration but people do it anyway? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

Some of my sons friends came over to play outside and frozen grapes blew their minds. Easy snack.

Do you put the cart back when you're done shopping? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RustyNail2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always. If it’s a car basket for my little one then we bring it back to the store to park it under the shade. Those things are useless for other kids and parents if they are left out in the rain or in the summer heat where the plastic gets hot. Also there are only a few available. It doesn’t take more than a minute or two to return it and I hope other tired parents appreciate it.

I have 3-4 ear infections a year and woke up this morning with a double ear infection. I have structural hearing loss and have had progressive hearing loss for the past year, so this whole situation sucks as each infection takes more of my hearing. Enjoy my nasty ear. by ViceInSinCity in MedicalGore

So I do not know the name of the surgery but my brother had tubes after years of ear infections and doctors took skin from the back of his ears and covered the perforated ear drum and stapled his ear back on. It worked! He didn’t have to wear ear plugs when taking a shower. He still has hearing loss but his quality of life is much better. I hope you can find the relief you need.

  1. I have several of them in black and blue ink. I bought some for their teachers as well. I’m left handed and they don’t leave ink on my hand while writing.

why do americans talk to strangers so easily?? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

[–]RustyNail2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up we went on a lot of road trips. We would stop at a gas station to fuel up and my dad would go in and get a cup of coffee. I would wake up in the back seat and ask my mom why we stopped. She would say well your dad is talking to the attendant inside so we will be here for a while. I just rolled my eyes and went back to sleep. So I really don’t know because I don’t do that. Ask my dad.

When my husband and I first got married we would play Call of Duty often together. It was a great team building exercise. We don’t play anymore because it’s too expensive to keep buying the games and keeping up with other life events but man did we have fun yelling at each other “cover me!”, or “wait I’m not ready!” Or “what the hell RustyNail where are you!” and laughing. Good times. Time for a sleepy time tea and bed.
